Wild: A "Wild" card may be used in place of a number card and can be used as any color to complete any phase. It must remain as that card until the hand is over. If the dealer starts the discard pile with a "Wild" card, the card may be picked up by the first player.
Each numbered card from 10-12 scores 10 points each. Each Skip card scores 15 points each. Each Wild card scores 25 points each.
To
go out, a player must get rid of all of their cards by a combination of hitting on existing
Phases and discarding cards they cannot use to hit. The player to
go out first wins the hand.
Going Out / Finishing a Hand
- 5 points for all values 1-9.

The 10 Phases of the Game
Players can only achieve one phase per hand. A set is two or more cards with the same number, even if the cards have the same color. Phase 10 can be played by 2 to 6 players. Choose a dealer to shuffle and deal out 10 cards face down, to each player. Players should not show their cards to one another.

- The key in Phase 10 strategy is to play out as many cards as possible.
- Don't give up.
- Hit on completed sets whenever possible.
- Remember you can play cards on your opponent's sets and sequences.

The 10 Phases of the Game
A set is two or more cards with the same number, even if the cards have the same color. A run is a series of numbered cards that are in order such as 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7, 8, 9. A color is two or more cards within the same color group, such as all yellow cards or all red cards.Deal 10 cards to every player, and then place the remaining cards in the center of the table. This is the draw pile. Turn the top card of the deck over, and place it beside the draw pile to form the discard pile. Play begins to the left of the dealer.
SCORING: Paper and pencil are needed for scoring, and a running total for each player is kept. The winner of the hand scores zero. All remaining players score points against them, for cards still in hand, as follows: 5 points for each card numbered 1-9.

THE WINNER: The first player to complete Phase 10 at the end of a hand is the winner. If two or more players complete Phase 10 in the same hand, then the player with the fewest total points is the winner. In the event of a tie, the players that tied replay Phase number 10. The first one to go out is the winner.
Being the first to go out
The first player to go out of the round (also described as winning the hand), advances to the next Phase/hand along with all the players who have also completed their existing Phases. Finishing first has its benefits.In the next hand, you will be working on Phase 2. You must have the whole Phase in hand before laying it down. You may lay down more than the minimum requirements of a Phase, but only if the additional cards can be directly added to the cards already in the Phase.
The Phase 10 deck of cards is made up of numeric cards, 1 - 12, in four colors: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow. There are 2 of each number for each color.
