Types of Engine: We can broadly classify engines into two categories those are Internal Combustion Engine and External Combustion Engine. The answer is, none. Each type of engine has it's plus points and negatives and both suit different purposes. A 3-cylinder engine is better suited for fuel efficiency and cost savings. You may however, run two stroke oil gas mixture in a four stroke engine without any major damage to the engine. The engine will smoke and foul the plugs after a while.
