There is no direct connection from Itaewon to N Seoul Tower. However, you can take the walk to Itaewon Station, take the line 6 subway to Samgakji Station, take the subway to Myeongdong Station, take the walk to Namsan Cable Car Station, take the cable car to Namsan, then take the walk to N Seoul Tower.
The N-Seoul tower is built on top of a giant mountain in the heart of Seoul offering the best view of the city and on a clear day you can even see North-Korea. Unfortunately the weather was pretty foggy during the daytime but luckily it cleared up as night.
Tickets. The entrance to the N Seoul Tower observation decks is free. If you're traveling on a budget, I recommend skipping the observatory. The view from the observation decks is incredible.
The best way to get to the N Seoul Tower is to first take the subway, line 4 (light blue) to the Myeongdong station. Take exit 7 or 8. When you exit, you will be in front of an office building/bank and there will be a bus stop with a bus shelter in front of the building.
From Myeongdong Station (line 4, exit 3), walk towards the left of 7-11 convenience store, go straight and walk towards the right of Pacific Hotel and walk uphill. Walk up the stairs to Namsan Cable Car Station.

Construction on Namsan Tower began back in 1969 and the tower began broadcasting in 1971. It wasn't until 1975 that the famous observatory was built and 1980 that the tower was opened to the public. By the year 2001, Namsan Tower had already received over 20 million visitors.

Well, one might say that it is a waste of time going here just to see the city lights or the city of seoul panoramically.
