I have always played you can shoot backwards from the D, but it is a single shot. If you play the 2 shot rule, you cannot shoot backwards. This changes from person to person/area to area.
The black ball should be placed a balls distance behind the triangle. This should be the side opposite from the D spot. On a standard snooker table, it should be placed approximately three-quarters inches from the back rail. The pink ball should be placed on the point of the triangle which points to the D spot.
4. Any red balls potted on a legal shot are legally potted balls; the striker need not call any particular red ball(s), pocket(s) or details of how the pot will be played.
Secondly, snooker doesn't work well on an eight foot table, there's simply not enough space, you can demonstrate this by simply getting an extra six pool balls and setting them up as the colours. You'll quickly realise that there simply just isn't room to play snooker on an eight foot table.
Begin placing the balls inside the rack, starting with the #1 solid yellow upfront and alternating solid and stripe left to right. The eight ball will always be placed in the center of the rack. 4. Begin on the end of the table with the racking dot.
While it may seem awkward to play pool by yourself if you're in a pool hall, its totally fine. Playing pool alone is a great way to hone your skills and improve your game without the use of an opponent. If you find yourself playing pool alone, here are a few tips to help you make the most of your time.
The numbers don't mean anything in many games except as a reference point. For example, in eight ball, the rule could simply be "sink all the solids or stripes and then the black ball." Nine ball is similar, but knowing the correct order of the balls would be more difficult.
The foot spot is the spot at the foot end of the table between the second diamonds on the long rail. It also lines up with the center diamond on the short rail. This is the “racking end” of the table, where you “spot the ball”, and where you should line up the top object ball when racking a game of 8-ball or 9-ball.
Officially, the balls should be placed at random within the triangle rack, with a couple of exceptions. These exceptions include: Placing the 8-Ball in the middle of the second row from the 'apex' or front. Secondly, the player should place one solid and one striped ball in each back corner of the triangle rack.
Below is the "second ball hit." Place the cue ball on the head string about 3 or 4 inches from the side rail. Use inside spin and target the second ball, barely clearing the nose ball. This shot needs a lot of practice, but will spread the balls nicely, and you might make the 8-ball in the side on the break.
Snooker. A game of snooker should be played with 22 balls on the table: 15 red balls, one white ball and six balls of other colors (yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, black). At the start of the game, the 15 red balls should be grouped together into a triangle shape on one end of the table.
Quick answer: fair stroke, 2 points, yellow stays in pocket, green is now the ball on. If that is all you want/need, stop reading. If your interest is deeper, read on. Free ball is possibly the least well understood Rule of Snooker, more so I believe than Foul and a Miss.
Not in snooker, on any shot. You just have to hit the correct ball first. The break shot has no extra rules. No specific rule applies to the opening shot of a frame, nor is there anything requiring cushions to be hit.
A billiard ball is a small, hard ball used in cue sports, such as carom billiards, pool, and snooker.
Pool is any variation of games using the 15 numbered balls. You can play 8 ball, 9 ball, straight pool, elimination, poker pool, and more with the pool balls. Snooker is the game with 15 red balls, a yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black. Of these three, pool is easiest.
Failure to do so is a foul, as is not hitting any ball or potting a non-nominated ball. If the player touches any ball with any part of their body or any ball other than the white with their cue it is a foul. Hitting a ball off the table is a foul. Reds are not replaced but colours will be re-spotted.
