- Place a double row of actuators in the sand, just about head height (4 and 5 tiles above ground level).
- Install the switch.
- Wire them together.
- Flip the switch.
- Make a dam on the open side.
- Pour in one bucket of water (order matters).
- Pour in one bucket of lava.
- Flip the switch again.
Console version, even though Hardened Sand can be crafted into glass, its biome-specific counterparts cannot.
If you build a chest on top of sand, that top layer of sand will not fall. While this doesn't prevent you from having to dig out most of the sand, it does allow you to preserve a top layer. This is by far the best solution for dealing with sand from the ocean.
If you use something that decreases ammunition used, such as the Ammo Box, you can technically duplicate sand blocks.
Holy Water is a craftable weapon in Terraria made by mixing some Bottled Water with Pixie Dust and Hallowed Seeds. The Holy Water can be thrown, and will convert a small area around the impact into the Hallow biome. Any enemies in the radius will take 20 damage regardless of the player's active buffs or equipment.
Ebonstone Brick is a type of brick. Unlike its raw block counterpart, the Ebonstone Block, it does not spread the Corruption, nor does it turn the area into a Corruption biome, thus making it a safe construction material for NPC houses and other structures.
Build a house in a hallowed biome, then house the Steampunker there and buy it from him.
The Dark Shard is an item dropped by Dark Mummies in Corrupt Deserts and Crimson Deserts after defeating the Wall of Flesh.
The Clentaminator has a range of 60 tiles. It is affected by boosts which reduce ammo usage, thereby saving solution.
Dark, Blood and Light Mummies can easily be farmed for their shards by Corrupting or Hallowing a section of Desert, or making an artificial Desert. All that is necessary is a one-wide flat surface of Pearlsand, Ebonsand, or Crimsand.
If you have a Steampunker living in one of your houses, then, buy a clentaminator from her. During a blood moon, she will sell purple solution for the clentaminator. Buy it and spray it where you want, and it will create corruption wherever you spray it.
Desert Fossil is a type of block found in the Underground Desert biome in medium to large veins. Desert Fossils can be used with an Extractinator to produce Sturdy Fossils, along with regular Extractinator drops.

The sandgun is a ranged weapon / gun that is made by crafting 1 Illegal Gunparts, 10 Antlion mandibles and 5 topaz.
The Soul of Might is one of the 7 souls. It is dropped by The Destroyer after the Wall of Flesh has been killed in any world (thus turning on hard mode). The Soul of Might is a drop from the The Destroyer, which is the Hardmode version of the Eater of Worlds.
Illegal Gun Parts are a crafting material used to craft the Sandgun, the Megashark and the Flamethrower. They are sold by the Arms Dealer at night.
What is the Best Gun in Terraria? Our pick for the best gun in Terraria has to be the S.D.M.G.(also known as the Space Dolphin Machine Gun). The S.D.M.G. is a hardmode gun that deals 85 base damage (77 on console) per bullet.
It's a tough fight but if you have a piercing weapon it will be made much easier. Once it's all collected, take your Minishark, 5 Shark Fins, 1 Illegal Gun Parts, and 20 Souls of Might to a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil and craft your Megashark.

The Star Cannon can do tremendous amounts of damage and is by far the best pre-Hardmode ranged weapon in terms of DPS . It is still useful well into Hardmode, providing slightly more DPS than the Clockwork Assault Rifle while piercing an infinite number of enemies.
