Salary Sheet is a document that includes complete details of the amount payable to an employee for work done during a particular period. It includes details like basic pay, allowances, deductions, and overtime, etc. of employees. Generally, Payroll is made daily for wages, weekly, biweekly, or monthly for salaries.
The formula to calculate salary per day is very simple. Start with the s*alary and divide by 52* to determine the weekly pay spread over the entire year. For example if you calculate that a $60,000 dollar per year salar*y* divided by 52 weeks, it will result in employee earnings of $1,153.85 dollars per week.

Base days for monthly salary calculation
- Calendar days. This is probably the most widely adopted basis. In the calendar-day basis, the per-day pay is calculated as the total salary for the month divided by the total number of calendar days.
- Calendar days adjusted for Sundays. This is a variant of the Calendar day basis.
- Fixed number of days, such as 26 or 30.
The formula for measuring absenteeism is relatively easy: simply take the number of unexcused absences in a given period of time, divide it by the total period, and multiply the result by 100 to get the percentage of absenteeism over a month, a year, etc.
Add up the total number of days that should have been worked (or hours for variable hours employees). Work out the total number of days/hours lost to sickness absence. Divide the number of days/hours lost by the number that should have been worked. Multiply this result by 100 to calculate a sickness absence percentage.
Multiply the employee's daily salary by the number of unpaid days the employee took during the pay period. For example, assume the employee in the example took three unpaid days. The amount do deduct is $115.38 x 3 = $346.14.

Annual employee leave entitlements are calculated via three steps:
- Calculate total annual leave hours. Multiply the total number of weeks an employee has worked by 2.923.

To calculate unpaid leave:Find the number of working days in the current month. Use this figure to calculate how much the employee is paid daily (monthly salary/working days in month). Multiply this figure by the number of days of unpaid leave.
