Your eyeglasses may be too big if they are always sliding down your nose or falling off your face. Your frames should align horizontally with your eyes and tilt slightly forward so the bottom of the frame is closer to the face than the top of the frame.
The right pair of glasses should rest comfortably on the bridge of your nose, and should not press against your forehead or cheeks. But they shouldn't rest so far towards the end of your nose that they slip when you squint or wrinkle your nose.
The eye/lens size is usually first, then the bridge size, then temple size. Use the eye/lens size to determine the best frame size. The eye size is typically going to be the most important size for identifying how a pair of sunglasses will look.
The width of your frames should not be wider than the width of your face at the temples. The top of your frames should be no higher than the line of your eyebrows. The lower edge of the frames shouldn't sit on your cheeks otherwise they will start to rub against your skin and cause irritation.
Small/Narrow Face: 125mm – 129mm. Medium Face: 130mm – 134mm. Large Face: 135mm – 139mm. Wide Face: 140mm – 145mm.
Pain Behind The EarsWhen you feel pain behind your ears while wearing glasses it may be because your glasses are too small for your head and/or incorrectly adjusted. Ear pain from glasses that are too tight can cause headaches due to poor circulation.
Your glasses should sit in the middle of your face, no higher than your eyebrows. The total width of your frames should match the width of your face at the temples, leaving enough room on the sides to avoid digging in or leaving marks. Well-fitting glasses will create a sense of visual balance.
Optimally-fitted sides should only cause a slight pressure behind the ear to keep the weight of the glasses from bearing down on the nose. However, if the glasses are too tight, the sides move upwards on the sides of the head and the eyeglass frames slide down the nose.
They should fit securely on the bridge with no pinching. You should be able to bend over, wiggle your head from side to side, and basically prance around without those babies falling off or sliding up and down. If the bridge is too small, your glasses will be situated overly high on your nose, plus they'll pinch.
Frame your face – Oversized sunglasses shouldn't dominate your face. If the frames are wider than your face, they're too big for you. Arm Positioning – if the (arms) of the glasses don't rest comfortably over your ears, the sunglasses are too small for you.
Your glasses shouldn't leave dark marks on your nose or anywhere else on your face. If they do, it's a sign that your eyewear may not fit, and it might need to be adjusted. The bridge is incorrect for your face. To ensure your eyewear doesn't leave red marks on the skin, you may need a wider nose bridge.
1) Blurred VisionStare straight ahead with the other eye. Is your vision hazy or blurred? Repeat with the other eye. A cloudy or blurred vision in one eye, while the other is closed is a sure sign that the power of your glasses or lenses is incorrect.

If your glasses feel tight or loose:You can adjust your temples by bowing them out or bending them in. Adding a slight outward bend on your temples will alleviate stress and tightness on the side of your head, and adding an inward bend will similarly tighten your glasses on your head.
