If you're afraid of damaging your shoes with bleach, vinegar is a great, safe, and natural way to remove a grass stain. Mix one third of a cup of white vinegar with two thirds of a cup of warm water. Gently dab the stain with the mixture using a soft, clean cloth, then use another clean cloth to blot the stain.
First, pre-treat the stain with your favorite liquid laundry detergent. Many of the best liquid laundry detergents have enzymes that will begin to break down the proteins in the stain. Rinse the clothing completely and then soak the clothing in warm water and a capful of all-fabric bleach. Let this soak for an hour.
Here's how to do it:
- Make a paste with 1 tablespoon (14.8 ml) baking soda and 1/2 tablespoon each of hydrogen peroxide and warm water.
- Take a scrub brush or a toothbrush, dip it in the baking soda solution, and scrub the stains.
- Allow the baking soda solution to dry on the shoe for at least thirty minutes.
Remove grass stains using laundry detergent.
One of the most popular means of removing grass stains on shoes is using laundry detergent. First, try to get a liquid or powder laundry detergent that contains bleach and enzymes. Put a small amount of detergent on the stain and rub it gently on the shoe.Use a brush to remove loose dirt and mud before you start cleaning the fabric. Use warm, soapy water and a toothbrush to clean the tops, sides and rubber strip of your Vans, working gently to remove stubborn stains. Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the surface and remove any remaining soap suds.
To clean white shoes with baking soda: Combine one tablespoon of hot water, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and one tablespoon of baking soda. Mix until it reaches a paste-like consistency, and then use an old toothbrush to lather the mixture onto the canvas areas of your shoes.
Saturate set-in stains with vinegar, then rub the spot with a paste made from equal parts vinegar and baking soda. You can add a couple of tablespoons each of vinegar and laundry detergent to a bucket of water and soak the garment overnight ?if the stain persists. Then, rinse and wash.
How to Get Stains Out From Fabric That Has Been Washed & Dried
- Pour three tablespoons of white vinegar and two tablespoons of liquid detergent into a quart-size spray bottle.
- Shake the contents of the bottle to mix the cleaner and spray the set-in stain with the cleaning solution.
- Rub the solution into the stain with a clean cloth, and then blot dry.
VINEGAR: Make a solution of 2 parts white vinegar, 1 part water. Soak the stain for a couple of hours and wash. BAKING SODA: Make a paste of baking soda and warm water, and using a toothbrush, firmly apply the paste to the area (give it a little scrub!). Let sit for about an hour and rinse.

Seven Types of Stain
- Oil Stain. Oil stains are the most widely available and the type of stain most people think of when they think of stain.
- Varnish Stain. Varnish stains resemble oil stains in every way but one.
- Water-Based Stain.
- Gel Stain.
- Lacquer Stain.
- Water-Soluble Dye Stain.
- Metal-Complex (Metalized) Dye Stain.
Treat grease stains with a grease remover, like dawn dish soap. Rub it in gently and let sit at least 10 minutes before washing. Check the stain after you wash before putting it in the dryer, and if necessary, retreat with dish soap again. You may have to hang dry the garment to make absolutely sure the stain is out.
- Sprinkle baking soda on spills as soon as possible.
- Spray white vinegar on the stained area of the garment.
- Apply a commercial stain removal spray to the garment.
- Wash the garment as you normally would.
- Refer to the instructions on your container of dye to determine the correct amount for your garment.
The stains are from a leaking transmission shaft. Oil spots on your laundry could be the result of a bad seal around the agitator shaft. This causes water to leave the tub and run down into the transmission. Since the transmission oil is physically lighter than water, it leaves the transmission and floats into the tub.
Rub liquid laundry detergent into the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes. Using a wet a toothbrush and a few drops of water, scrub the detergent into the stain, scrubbing both sides of the fabric. Machine wash as usual, but wash apart from any other clothes. Repeat until all mud is gone.

- Soak the stained clothing in cold water for 30 minutes.
- Apply liquid dish detergent to the stain.
- Pre-soak the clothing in the sink if the stain remains.
- If the stain remains after washing in the washing machine, use rubbing alcohol.
- Inspect the clothing to see if the flower stain still exists.
Key Steps: Lily pollen is a dusty substance, so it can often be easier to remove it dry. Avoid touching a lily pollen stain with your hands as oils from your fingers can cause it to sink into the fibres. Sticky tape can be effective at lifting pollen stains from clothing and carpets.

Steps
- Fill a small bowl with 1 cup (240 mL) of very hot water.
