Replace found text
- Click. in the toolbar, then choose Show Find & Replace.
- Click.
- Enter a word or phrase in the first field.
- Enter the replacement word or phrase in the second field.
- Use the buttons at the bottom of the Find panel to review and change the text matches:
Find and Replace helps you to find words or formats in a document and can let you replace all instances of a word or format. This is particularly handy in long documents. To use Find and Replace, use the shortcut Ctrl+H or navigate to Editing in the Home tab of the ribbon, then choose Replace.
To open the Find pane from the Edit View, press Ctrl+F, or click Home > Find. Find text by typing it in the Search the document for… box. Word Web App starts searching as soon as you start typing.

Using the Find and Replace feature, you can quickly delete them:
- Press [Ctrl]+H.
- Click the Find What control and click the More button.
- Click Format and choose Style.
- Select the style that the paragraphs share and click OK.
- Make sure the Replace With control is empty, as shown in Figure F.
- Click Replace All.
