So if “tapping therapy” doesn't do anything special, how can it do any damage? It can't do any damage directly – but it can certainly harm patients who urgently need treatments that do work, by delaying and fooling them.

During a typical EFT session, the person will focus on a specific issue while tapping on "end points of the body's energy meridians". While tapping, they recite specific phrases that target an emotional component of a physical symptom.
EFT focuses on the PROCESS of your relationship, especially the emotions and patterns in the relationship. EFT is the most-researched and most-effective framework for conducting couple therapy. I truly believe in the effectiveness of EFT and have seen it work well with all types of couples.

At long last … Findings from a world-first study aimed at scientifically proving a simple 'tapping' technique have shown the method is effective in reducing food cravings. The control group who did not receive any EFT did not change.This approach is growing in popularity and acceptance. Given that it is now an evidence-based approach, it is being taught in graduate schools and internship programs. Cognitive–behavioral approaches are focusing on emotion and are rapidly assimilating many aspects of EFT.
