Of course, that's precisely the reason that Bungie decided to kill him off. They feel that they needed players to truly hate the lead villains in the upcoming Forsaken DLC and that the best way to accomplish that would be to have said villains brutally murder one of Destiny's most beloved characters.
There's just no way. Pretty much the entire New Light experience is being vaulted, given that almost all year 1 and 2 content is going away. The Red War campaign is gone, with 2 of the 4 planets needed for it being vaulted. Curse of Osiris and Warmind are gone, with Mercury and Mars vaulted.
These three campaigns are free and available to play for beginning players of Destiny 2: New Light. To begin the Forsaken Campaign, open the Director and go to the Tangled Shore map. At the bottom, select the 'Last Call' mission to begin this campaign. This campaign is locked under the Forsaken DLC [$25].

Most players (90%) spent between 9 and 21 hours on their first playthrough. Between 4 and 8 hours of that was story missions. The quickest playthrough I observed in the data I sampled took 5 hours and 11 minutes and the longest was 68 hours and 33 minutes.
The Curse of Osiris quest-giver Brother Vance will give you a new item, the Lost Prophecy, Verse 1 – which will eventually turn into a scout rifle. To activate the Verse, you have collect a Concentrated Radiolarian Culture, which is made up of ten normal Radiolaria Cultures.
Osiris can be found on Mercury at the Sundial Spire in Destiny 2 Season Of Dawn. The Sundial Spire is a new location for Destiny 2 Season Of Dawn. However, before you can even try finding Osiris, you first need to visit Ikoro on Mercury in the Tower.
Starting a heroic adventure is easy. Go visit Brother Vance in the Lighthouse. In his inventory, he'll have the three normal adventures for you to repeat or three purple (Legendary) adventures for you. Choose from any of the three heroic adventures and return to the Infinite Forest gate on the other side of the planet.

The excellent gunplay is not enough to sustain an expansion that adds little outside extra busywork. The Raid Lair, while shorter than a typical Destiny Raid, is the one late-game addition that's worth trying. But in almost every respect, Curse of Osiris doesn't elevate Destiny 2 beyond what it was at launch.
Destiny 2 New Light: Everything you can play for free and how to make the most of it. Destiny 2 New Light is basically the free-to-play version of Destiny 2. It comes with the core areas and activities, and you start at a high enough Power level that you can dive into most of those almost immediately.
After withstanding many disconnections (and Bungie actually taking the servers completely offline), we can say that it'll likely take you between five and six hours to complete the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep campaign.
You are nuts if you think it's four hours. for a normal player I would say ten hours to complete campaign and 20 to 25 to play all the strikes, patrols, adventures, and a few public events at least once. to get to 270 light, it is probably 30 to 40 hours. This game has perfect length.
Step 1: Speak to Ikora Rey and OsirisTo find him, open up your director and select Mercury. You'll notice a new node on the north of the map, which takes you to The Sundial. Select that and head forward into the large Sundial structure. Speak with Osiris, and he'll send you to the next step.
To find Osiris on Mercury, select the node 'Disturbance on Mercury' from the destination screen - it's not in the patrol space itself. Approach the Sundial and Osiris will emerge, and give you the next quest step, Recovery Operation, which involves recovering Sundial Components.
