Once the boss falls, the Forge will spit out some glimmer, some engrams, and the successfully forged weapon. But behind it, a Black Armory chest will also appear. Go up to the chest and open it for the Fishhook key. To open the mysterious box's Fishhook lock, inspect the key and hold the action button to “use” it.
The Black Armory Key Mold says you need to destroy every Watcher in the Leviathan, but you don't; you just need to kill the four unfortunate Watchers in the Engine Room six times. So, once you clear the room, head outside and pull the lever again to respawn everything.
The Forge Ignition events are each tied to (most likely) Exotic Weapon quests, and by completing each Forge Ignition, you'll be able to earn a different Exotic Weapon on each planet. There's a different Forge (with a different Power Level requirement) on each planet, and we're starting with the first Forge in the EDZ.
To open the Fishhook Lock you'll need a Black Armory Key. To obtain this, you'll need to kickstart the Volundyr Forge activity and shoot small drones in a specific order between waves. Between rounds 1 and 2, two small drones will spawn around the map.
However, one Guardian has proven that with a little skill and luck, it's possible to solo. Taking on the Volundr Forge in Destiny 2's European Dead Zone, Esoterickk posted a video showing off how it's possible to completely solo the experience.
Once
you've completed this part,
you'll gain access to the
Volundr Forge in the EDZ.
They are:
- The Hammerhead machine gun.
- Another machine gun from the weapon frame.
- The Ringing Nail auto rifle from the weapon frame.
- A random armor from the weekly milestone once you've completed both weapon frames.
Destiny 2 Black Armory guide: How to quickly farm Forge weapons
- Step 1: Buy your frame from Ada-1.
- Step 2: Prepare the frame.
- Step 3: Run a Forge twice.
- Step 4: Collect your Forge-ready frame.
- Step 5: Forge your weapon.
- Step 6: Repeat.
Volundr Forge. At the beginning of the Black Armory endgame expansion, you must visit the Spider in the Tangled Shore. He will give you a Black Armory Badge that you can take back to the Annex in the Tower. It will give you access to the Black Armory itself.
The first of these lost Forges is the Volundr Forge that was released for players to experience on December 4th. Players will be tasked to fight off waves of enemies at the first Lost Forge's location while at the same time throwing materials into the Volundr Forge to create new and powerful weapons and gear.
The four forges are located in the European Dead Zone and Nessus in Destiny 2. These forges were added as part of the Black Armory DLC included in the Annual Pass. Complete Ada-1's bounties to unlock the forges to be able to forge powerful weapon frames.
Izanagi's Burden has a powerful perk that just got a lot better for PvE. It can sandwich four bullets into one to make a super powerful shot. This is great for boss or Major damage.
Players can get an Exotic Cipher via the Season Pass. The other option is from Xur. As for the Exotic Cipher available from Xur, it's actually a reward from a quest. Players will need to find Xur each weekend and complete his quest to unlock another cipher.
As for the Destiny 2 Obsidian Crystal itself, one way that you can get it is from the Niobe Labs. It is a drop there. Once you have it, the item is a consumable so all you need to do is consume it in your inventory to continue the quest.
As expected, this key can be found in the Gofannon Forge that launched on Friday. Just like with the fishhook key, the team will need to wait until the start of round 2 to start the process. Right at the start, two Saboteur drones will spawn in the arena and must be shot immediately.
You can get rare bounties from: redeeming completed daily and weekly bounties, and completing the weekly Ada challenge (forge two weapons).
Once you've cleared the second wave and defeated the boss, go to the middle of the arena and look for a Black Armory crate. Open it, and you'll get a Black Armory Key. Find it in your inventory and use it – this will mark the butterfly lock as opened.
Guardians can pick up bounties from Ada-1 in the Annex, complete the requirement, and create these weapons in a Forge. There are four different Forges that rotate on the daily reset time of 9 a.m. PST. To complete a successful Forge run, players must take out glowing enemies, pick up the orb, and throw it at the Forge.
Bergusia Forge Max Temper can be obtained by killing 2 drones. Forge is located on EDZ. Bergusia Forge drones spawn after the first wave, they are required to open the Black Armory Key of Mysterious box.
The Bergusia forge drones are easy to locate. The first done will be found near the back left of the map as you enter the forge. It will spawn almost in the corner and somewhat close to the ground. The second drone will spawn along the right side of the map as you enter the forge.
These rare Black Armory bounties can only be acquired from completing Ada-1's daily and weekly bounties – there's a tiny chance for one to drop every time you complete one. It can take weeks for a rare bounty to drop, and that process can keep dragging on for interminable stretches if you're truly unlucky.
