One way to right click on a Mac is to press the Ctrl (or Control) key when you tap the mouse button, or the trackpad. Don't confuse the Ctrl key with the Alt (or Option) key. The Ctrl key on a Mac is not the one next to the space bar, it's at the far end of the keyboard, on either the right or left side.
Steps
- Go to a photo that you want to save. Open the message, document, or web page that contains the photo you'd like to save on your MacBook.
- Open the image if necessary.
- Place your Mac's mouse pointer on the image.
- Open the context menu.
- Click Save Image to "Downloads".
From the drop-down menu beneath the image selection options, change the settings and examine your desktop as they are applied: often, a blurry wallpaper is the result of the menu being set to "Fit" or "Stretch," and adjusting it to "Fill" or "Center" can solve the problem immediately.
The Apple menu , located in the top-left corner of the screen, contains commands for things you do frequently, such as update apps, open System Preferences, lock your screen, or shut down your Mac.
To change your desktop background and thus your lock screen, Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver. Also note that, as you probably know, your Mac has two screens: The lock screen and the log-in screen. This will change the login screen, the screen you type your password.
Change the desktop picture (background) on your Mac
- Choose Apple menu ? > System Preferences.
- Click Desktop & Screen Saver.
- From the Desktop pane, select a folder of images on the left, then click an image on the right to change your desktop picture.
Just as you can right-click on an image and set it as the desktop background, you can select multiple images (by holding down the Shift key or Ctrl key while clicking on the images) and select "Set as desktop background."
Go into System Preferences->Desktop & Screen Saver. Change the desktop to one of the defaults. Then drag the image file into the window. That should fix it.
In OS X for the Mac, go to the Apple menu to System Preferences and click the Desktop & Screensaver icon, or just right-click on the desktop and select Change Desktop Background. On the Desktop tab, select the folder of pictures you want to use from the list on the left side of the box.

First, right-click your desktop, then click “Change Desktop Background.” (Note: if you use multiple desktops in Mission Control, make sure that you open this window on your left-most desktop, labeled “Desktop 1.”) Now change your wallpaper to whatever you'd like your login screen's background to be.

- Right click on the image, then select "Save Image As…" from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the file name you want to use for the selected image, and choose where the file will be saved.
