Blocking Text Messages
- Open “Messages“.
- Press the “Menu” icon located at the upper-right corner.
- Select “Blocked contacts“.
- Tap “Add a number” to add a number you wish to block.
- If you ever wish to remove a number from the blacklist, return to the Blocked contacts screen, and select the “X” next to the number.
Most Android phones have a native number blocking feature. This means that you can block numbers from calling and texting you through the settings of your Android phone. Calls from blocked numbers will go straight to voicemail and text messages from blocked numbers will go undelivered.
Method 2Blocking Contacts From Your Android Galaxy
- Tap on the Messaging app. Look to the bottom of your phone, and locate Messaging.
- Tap on Menu. Once you're in Messaging, tap on the menu button.
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on the Plus sign.
- Enter the number or contact you wish to block.
- Tap on Save.
Method #1: Use Android's Messaging App to Block Texts
If your phone is running Android Kitkat or above, then your default messaging app must have a spam filter. Just tap on “Add to Spam” and confirm the prompt to blacklist the number of the sender, so you will never receive messages from them again.Blocking Calls On Your Android Phone
Start by navigating to Phone > Menu > Call settings > Call rejection > Auto reject list. If you want to add a customized text message to the reject list, go to Phone > Menu > Call settings > Set reject messages and add a custom text there.Unblock a number
- Open your Phone app .
- Tap More .
- Tap Settings. Blocked numbers.
- Next to the number you want to unblock, tap Clear. Unblock.
Open the group iMessage you want to leave. Tap the group at the top, then the Information button. Scroll down and tap Leave this Conversation. Tap Leave this Conversation to confirm you choice.
You can only delete a person from a group if you added them. To delete a person from a group message go to the "Details" page and swipe left on their name like you're deleting an email. This will bring up a red "Delete" button for you to tap so you can remove that person from the group.
Steps

- Tap the group you want to leave. Find the group message thread you want to delete on the list of your recent messages, and open it.
- Tap the ⋮ button. This button is in the upper-right corner of your message conversation.
- Tap Delete on the menu.

- Open your SMS app and Select the Group Text. Open your stock SMS app and find the Group Text you want to make go away. Open the Messaging App.
- Tap on the Menu and Select Delete. This might be different from phone to phone, but go to your menu and select your Delete option. Select Delete.
Android:
- Within the group chat, tap the "Chat menu" button (three lines or squares on the upper right side of the screen).
- Tap "Leave chat" located at the bottom of this screen.
- Tap "Yes" when you receive the "Leave chat" alert.
First, find the group(s) you wish to remove yourself from one by one. Along the left-hand menu, find the section marked GROUPS and click it. This will show a full list of any groups you're in. Next, click the clog icon at the end of each group you wish to leave and click Leave Group.
Scroll to the bottom of the list. Hit the arrow the right, then click “Block this Caller.” On an Android phone, hit the three-dot icon in the upper right and select the option to block the number.
This app looks like three white speech bubbles in a yellow square icon on your Apps menu or main screen. Tap the group conversation you are attempting to leave. This will open the selected group conversation in your Messages app. Tap the ☰ icon.
If an iMessage, did you block the number, or the Apple ID. If you just added the number, then it may be coming from the Apple ID. If you blocked the contact, make sure it includes the number and caller ID. Apple ID would work for iMessage.
If an Android user has blocked you, Lavelle says, “your text messages will go through as usual; they just won't be delivered to the Android user.” It's the same as an iPhone, but without the “delivered” notification (or lack thereof) to clue you in.

blocked"
messages are actually
BLOCKED and
do not get sent to your phone. They basically don't exist.
Steps to view blocked messages.
- Open messages app.
- Tap More Archived.
- You will find all your archived and blocked messages here.
SMS: SERVICE ERROR 305: Message delivery failed. Further messages will be charged to your account. You may have to send it a few times for them to get the message, but after a while they'll hopefully get it and stop tormenting you.
Block messages or spam
- From the Home screen, tap the Messages icon.
- Tap Menu > Settings > Block numbers and messages > Block numbers.
- Manually enter number and tap the + (plus sign) or choose from INBOX or CONTACTS.
- When finished, tap the back arrow.
There actually are simple Where has the person blocked your number , if you are talking about getting blocked in the phone directory itself then “no” the person won't know when you call him from your blocked number.
There are some Android phones that offer the ability to automatically reject blocked calls. That means if a blocked call comes through it will not even ring on your phone. Instead, they will be sent straight to voicemail.
In the smartphone's Phone app the calls from blocked numbers are not even listed, I have no idea that they tried to call me, which is a great thing! However, when using Android Auto, the Call History shows the calls from the blocked numbers, both as a card and in the call history tab.

Method 2:
- Select the Contacts icon on the Home Screen.
- Locate the name of the contact that you want to unblock.
- Tap the small i button.
- Tap the 3 vertical dots.
- Select unblock.
Tap Call Blocking & Identification (for Messages or FaceTime, you can tap Blocked) In the upper right corner of the screen, tap Edit. Tap the red circle with a minus on it, next to the number you want to unblock. Tap Unblock.
Block calls
- From the Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
- Tap MORE.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Call blocking.
- Tap Block list. To enter the number manually: Enter the number. If desired, choose a Match criteria option: Exactly the same as (default)
- To block unknown callers, move the slide under Block anonymous calls to ON.
You can register your numbers on the national Do Not Call list at no cost by calling 1-888-382-1222 (voice) or 1-866-290-4236 (TTY). You must call from the phone number you wish to register. You can also register at add your personal wireless phone number to the national Do-Not-Call list donotcall.gov .
In case of an Android Phone, open the Phone > tap on More (or 3-dot icon) > Settings in the drop-down menu. On the pop-up, tap on Hide Number > Cancel to come out of the Caller ID Menu. After hiding Caller ID, make a call to the person that has blocked your number and you should be able to reach the person.
