AT&T unleashed more details Thursday by announcing that it will start preorders of Samsung's new family of wearable devices in the US on Friday. The Samsung Gear 2 smartwatch will cost $299, and both the simpler Samsung Gear 2 Neo and Samsung Gear Fit band get a $199 price tag.
Officially, the IP68 rating means the Gear S2 is able to withstand a water depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. For all intents and purposes though, both the Gear S and the newer Gear S2 are “waterproof” enough for you to wear them when you take a bath, swim or even go snorkelling.

Update Software on an iOS Device
- Plug your device into a power source.
- From the device's home screen, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
- Tap Download and Install.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.
Check for updates
- If you can't see your screen, wake up the watch.
- To open your list of apps, press the Power button.
- Tap Settings. System.
- Tap About. Versions.

How to Update Apps on Samsung Smart TV
- Press the Smart Hub/Home button your Samsung TV remote.
- In the Smart Hub Home Menu, select Apps.
- Select My Apps.
- Select Options and make sure Auto Update is set to On.
- If you're using the manual option, when you select an individual app you'll be notified if an update is available.
Update from an Android Smartphone
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app. on the connected Android smartphone.
- Tap the Home tab (lower-left).
- Tap About watch.
- Tap Update watch software.
- Tap Download.
- Tap Install now.
- From the 'Update watch software' screen, tap Install now.
- From the 'Update watch software' prompt, tap OK.
The latest Gear S3 update brings a number of improvements in the watch's usability and functionality. Samsung Health now supports more indoor workouts and back-to-back workout. The Health Widget also gets support for sleep stages information. Quick Panel gets an improved UI for faster and easier interaction.
Update your software

After that, tap on the Discover tab at the bottom, tap on the header, and you'll be transported to the Galaxy Store. Step 2: Touch the three-dot menu at the upper-right corner and pick Apps from the list. Now, tap on the Install button, and the app will be installed in a bit.
The Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 still holds its own very well in 2019 so far, as the age of smart watches is fairly new, they advancements in the newer models is fantastic but not required to have a smart watch experience!
The fact that it's cheaper than an Apple Watch or LG Watch Urbane just adds points in its favour. The Moto 360 (2nd Gen) does come at a lower price, but can't match the ease of use and performance of the Gear S2. If you're in the market for a smartwatch, the Samsung Gear S2 is definitely worth considering.

You can take the calls on your Gear S2 from the device itself or through a connected Bluetooth headset. You can only make a phone call using your Gear S2 only if it is a 3G/4G model (with an embedded SIM card). Not all Gear S2 are 3G/4G compatible.
Well, you've now got a few extra options for smartwatches compatible with your phone. Samsung, as promised, has finally enabled support for iOS on the Gear S2, Gear Fit 2, and the new Gear S3. Not all iPhones will work with the watches — you'll need the iPhone 5 or later running iOS 9.0 or later.
The battery level will be displayed in the Moment bar. Note: This device has a standby time up to 72 hours when on a 3G connection and 96 hours on a Bluetooth connection. The device has a talk time up to 3 hours on a 3G connection and 6.5 hours on a Bluetooth connection.
Thankfully, the Gear S2 is compatible with any Android phone running 4.4 and higher with over 1.5GB RAM. I tested it using a Moto X Style and HTC One M8, neither of which caused any problems. Samsung has also added iOS compatibility for any phone running at least iOS 9.
A full-working sleep tracker should've been already bundled on the Samsung Gear S2 when it was launched, but it wasn't. The sleep tracking functionality utilizes the device's integrated heart rate sensor to detect three different stages of sleep – restless, light and motionless.
Galaxy Watch 2 Release Date. We now now expect the Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 to release around March 2020, which is when Samsung is expected to announced the Galaxy S11 smartphone. Samsung's Galaxy Watch originally launched in August of 2018, so it really wasn't that long ago before it launched.
In general, you should have at least 10 meters (or 30 feet) of connectivity. Your smartwatch can also use your home Wi-Fi network for connectivity in any areas covered by your home network.
