Re: TV stuck on one channelHello all, to resolve this issue please reboot your cable box by unplugging it for 20-30 seconds then reconnect the box.
Please select all specifications which apply to you to get more accurate results.
- Run a scan for TV channels.
- Rescan for TV channels.
- Check the remote control.
- Rescan for the TV channels.
- Turn off the TV and turn it back on after a few minutes.
- Use the remote control of the box.
- Contact the cable TV operator.
If that didn't help, try resetting the remote to its default factory settings:
- Press and hold MUTE and SELECT together until the light flashes three times.
- Press 9, 8, 1 and SELECT. The remote flashes four times and should now reset.
The long channel changes have to do with the technology behind the DIRECTV system. AT&T's single-wire technology rearranges those frequencies so all your signals can go down a single wire. Finally, it gets to your DVR where it's interpreted and sent out to a client box.
Unplug your receiver's power cord from the electrical outlet, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in. Press the Power button on the front panel of your receiver. Wait for your receiver to reboot.

How to Unlock a Satellite Receiver

Unlocking a User's Account

How to turn off parental controls on an Android device using the Google Play Store
- Open the Google Play Store app and tap the menu icon, which consists of three stacked lines.

The red reset button is located behind a swingout door on the front right of most DIRECTV receivers and DVRs. This will reset a bunch of the default settings on your DVR but attempt to keep your recordings. You'll need to pair up RF remotes again, as well as setting any preferences you had before.

With DIRECTV parental controls, you can: Set spending limits for DIRECTV CINEMA movies or live Pay Per View events. Block shows and channels based on ratings or parental preference.
If your just trying to remove them from the guide, go to edit and unchecked the boxes it found, that will remove them from the guide. Only checked boxes will show in the guide.
Press the DIRECTV button to go to DIRECTV Central. Press the LIVE TV button to return to live television.
Use the down arrow to go to “Settings & Help.” Press {SELECT}.
- Then, use the right arrow to make sure “Favorite Channels” is highlighted and press {SELECT} again.
- Here you have the option to choose a favorites list that you want to switch to or edit.
