Change the ruler measurement units in Visio
- On the Design tab, in the Page Setup group, click the Page Setup Dialog Box Launcher.
- Click the Page Properties tab. In the Measurement Units list, select the units you want, and then click OK.
To set the page margin, open the Page Setup dialog box as described above. On the Print Setup tab, click Setup. You can set the margins and make other adjustments. If Auto Size is on, clicking Fit to Drawing turns it off.
Visio - Change the Drawing Scale
- Go to the page that you want to change the drawing scale on, and select Design.
- In the Page Setup group, select the More arrow.
- Select Drawing Scale.
- Select a Pre-defined scale, and choose the pre-defined scale you want.
- Select a scale ratio if you'd like, or select Custom Scale and enter your own values.
- Select OK.
You can't delete a page break because it only exists as a formatting attribute of a paragraph--there is no "break element" to delete.
Press Ctrl+Shift+8 (?+8 on a Mac). Now you can select the page break and delete it.
Delete a page break
- Select the worksheet that you want to modify.
- On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview. You can also click Page Break Preview.
- Do one of the following:
- On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks.
- Click Remove Page Break.
- Click Home > Show/Hide . This will display non-printing characters—paragraph markers, section breaks, page breaks, etc. —that you may want to see while you're working on your document.
- Double-click the page break so that it's selected, and then press Delete.
See the following steps:
- Click Home > (Show/Hide Editing Marks) to show all paragraph marks and hidden formatting symbols in current document.
- Place the cursor before the specified section break, and then press the Delete key to remove it. See screenshot:
- For removing more section breaks, please repeat above Step 2.
Word 2013. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Show/Hide to show all formatting marks including page breaks. Double-click the page break to select it, then press Delete.
Change the size or position of a swimlane
- To change the width of a swimlane, drag a separator line.
- To change the length of a swimlane, drag the end line.
- To move a swimlane and the shapes it contains, select the label and drag the swimlane to another location, and then release it when you see the connection indicator.
Position the pointer at the edge of the drawing, drag the double-headed arrow to resize the picture. 4. Or you could right click the drawing, click Picture, select the Size tab, make adjustments to resize.
Reduce the size of a Visio file
- Click File > Check for Issues > Reduce File Size. If you're using Visio 2010, you'll find this under File > Info > Reduce File Size.
- Click the File Size Reduction tab.
- Do one or more of the following: Select the Remove preview picture check box to remove the preview picture from the file properties.
Select File >
Print.
If your diagram is a different size than the paper, adjust the drawing.
- Select Portrait Orientation or Landscape Orientation.
- Select a paper size.
- Select Page Setup.
- Select Fit to.
- Select OK.
For page size scaling, use settings in the Print Preview window or in Resizing Options in the print driver. Open the document, then highlight the text that you want to change. To select all the text in the document, press the Ctrl + A keys. Click the Increase Font Size or Grow font button to make the fonts larger.
Draw a line
- Right-click the drawing and on the floating toolbar, click the Drawing Tools list and then click the Line tool or the Pencil tool.
- Click where you want to start drawing the line, hold the mouse button and move your pointer to where you want the line to end, then release the mouse button.
Save Several Drawings to a Single PDF
- Open the drawing and click File->Print Preview… in the Visio main menu.
- Select Universal Document Converter from the list of printers.
- Click Setup…
- Click Print…, then click Properties…
- In the File Format section select PDF Document.
You can print a diagram directly from Visio for the web. Open the diagram for editing. Press Ctrl+P, or select File > Print > Print.
