Shrink a worksheet to fit on one page
- Click Page Layout.
- Select the Page tab in the Page Setup dialog box.
- Select Fit to under Scaling.
- To fit your document to print on one page, choose 1 page(s) wide by 1 tall in the Fit to boxes.
- Press OK at the bottom of the Page Setup dialog box.
Solutions:
- Click Excel Options. Click Entire Workbook or Sheets From a Range. With Sheets From a Range you will need to specify the range you want.
- Click OK. Click Convert to PDF.
- Choose The file location and name to save to then click Save.
Choose File > Print. From the Page Scaling pop-up menu, select Multiple Pages Per Sheet. From the Pages Per Sheet pop-up menu, select a value. Click OK or Print.
On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks. 3. Click Insert Page Break. Excel displays a solid line (manual page break) to show you where the new page begins.
Select the worksheets you want to print. To print multiple worksheets, click the first worksheet, hold down the Ctrl key, then click the other worksheets you want to select. Click the File tab. Select Print to access the Print pane.
To print multiple sheets
- Load the appropriate Excel file.
- Use the CTRL or SHIFT keys in conjunction with the mouse to select all appropriate sheet tabs displayed at the bottom of your Excel workbook.
- Save the workbook.
- From the File menu, click Print.
- Make sure the Snapshot printer is selected before clicking OK.
Set up a printer to print to both sides of a sheet of paper
- Click the File tab.
- Click Print.
- Under Settings, click Print One Sided, and then click Manually Print on Both Sides. When you print, Word will prompt you to turn over the stack to feed the pages into the printer again.
Print the booklet or newsletter
- On the File menu, click Print, and then click the Publication and Paper Settings tab.
- In the Print dialog box, under Printing options, verify that Booklet, side-fold is selected.
- Select any other options that you want, and then click OK to print the publication.
One way to set this is: Go File > Print and select the Scaling dropdown under the Settings. Select Custom and on the Page tab set "Fit to" 1 page wide and 99 (or any large number) tall.
Hide or unhide a worksheet
- Select the worksheets that you want to hide. How to select worksheets.
- On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format > Visibility > Hide & Unhide > Hide Sheet.
- To unhide worksheets, follow the same steps, but select Unhide.
Press [Ctrl], and select the files you want to print. (If the files are adjacent, select the first file in the list, press [Shift], and select the last file in the list.) Right-click the selection, and select Print from the shortcut menu. Select the desired print options, and click OK.
Follow these steps to scale the worksheet for print by increasing or decreasing its font size.
- In the worksheet, click File > Print.
- Under Settings, click Custom Scaling > Custom Scaling Options.
- Click Page and in the Adjust to box, choose a percentage by which you want to increase or decrease the font size.
When you select one or more sheets and then click File > Print, you'll see a preview of how the data will appear on the printout. Select the worksheet(s) you want to preview. Click File, and then click Print to display the Preview window and printing options. Keyboard shortcut You can also press Ctrl+F2.
This happens because one (or multiple) sheets in your workbook have a different dpi setting for printing. Because of this, Excel assumes that each individual sheet has to be sent for printing separately, so it will send it in the same way to the PDF printer which will prompt to create a PDF from each sheet.
When you want to print a document without opening it, simply drag the document file to the correct printer icon on your desktop. You can drag multiple files simultaneously and they will print, but not in any particular order. Next week's tip will explain how to set up a drag and drop PDF creator.
How to print all the files in a folder without opening each one?
- Type *. PDF in the Search box at the upper right.
- For 1-15 files, press CTRL+A to select all of them.
- For 16 or more files, select 15 of them (click the first, SHIFT +click the last).
- Right-click any file and click Print .
- Repeat steps 3-4 as required.
To print all of the files in a folder, open that folder in Windows Explorer (File Explorer in Windows 8), press CTRL-a to select all of them, right-click any of the selected files, and select Print. Of course, you can also select a few specific files and print them the same way.
