When discussing orientation or direction, landscape refers to an image that is wider than it is tall, that is, shot in a horizontal orientation. The image below is shot in landscape orientation. It is wider than it is tall. Portrait, then, refers to an image that is shot so it is taller than it is wide.

- Open the Adobe Reader document that you wish to print double-sided. Select File > Print.
- Tick the box that says Print on Both Sides of Paper. To print regular (Portrait) double-sided, select Long-Edge Binding. To print Landscape double sided, select Short-Edge Binding.

Answer: Portrait and landscape mode are two types of page orientation. Simply put, a page or image displayed in portrait mode is taller than it is wide. Conversely, a page or image displayed in landscape mode is wider than it is tall.
Set the printer's orientation to landscape manually. Click on the Office symbol, hover over the "Print" menu and select "Print." Choose the desired printer, then click "Properties." Change the paper orientation to "Landscape" under the Page Layout settings. Press "OK" and try to print the document again.

Single Printing

- Select "Landscape" and then click "OK." Your document will now print in landscape orientation.

Answer:Select the Page Layout tab in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Then in the Page Setup group, click on the Orientation button. Select Landscape from the popup menu. Now your Word document should be formatted as landscape.
To print vertically,
- Press the [Font] key ( / ). The current style settings are displayed.
- Press or to select "Style".
- Press or until "Vertical" is displayed.
- Press the [OK] key ( ) or [Enter] key ( / ) to apply the selected setting.
During the print prompt, select your label size under Presets, then navigate to Printer Features -> Page Options and Select 90 under "Rotate." Go to Control Panel -> Devices and Printers -> Right click on Rollo -> Go to Settings -> Under Orientation / Rotate Choose 90 and Click Apply / Ok.
To change the text direction, select Table Tools Layout > Text Direction. The text will rotate to the right. Select Text Direction again to rotate the text another 90 degrees. To change the text alignment, choose an Alignment option to change how the text appears in the cell.
Click File, and then click
Print. The

Change the print orientation
- In the Driver settings, click the Layout tab (in some Designjet printer models, the Layout tab will be available under Finishing or Paper/Quality).
- Under the Orientation heading, select Portrait or Landscape.
- Click OK.
Access

With a PDF file, that's a different situation. If you have Adobe Acrobat (and if you are printing to the Adobe PDF printer, you will have Acrobat), you can rotate these pages back to their "normal" orientation. Just open the file and then select Tools>Pages>Rotate to rotate al pages by 180 degrees.
Click "Document," and then select "Rotate Pages" from the drop-down menu. Select "Direction," and then choose how you want to rotate your PDF file. Your options include "Clockwise 90 degrees," "Counter-clockwise 90 degrees," and "180 degrees." Select the pages you want to rotate under the "Page Range" heading.
Normally, printing a portrait photo, will rotate it on landscape format, and fill the whole page. If in case you want to print the photo in portrait, but you want to retain the landscape format of the paper, you can do this by clicking going to File, selecting Print, then clicking Print.
Go to Output settings > Layout, choose PDF orientation as vertical or horizontal.
Use different orientations in the same document
- Select the pages or paragraphs whose orientation you want to change.
- Click PAGE LAYOUT > Page Setup dialog box launcher.
- In the Page Setup box, under Orientation, click Portrait or Landscape.
- Click the Apply to box, and click Selected text.
After that open the document. When the document is open then tap the “Edit” button on the lower-right corner of the screen. And then tap on the menu in the top-right corner and choose “Page Setup” from the options given. You have to tap on “Orientation” here and then choose “Landscape”.
Follow these steps to change PDF from portrait to landscape.
- Go to PDFescape online website, click “Upload PDF to PDFescape”.
- After that, drag and drop the file to upload.
- Next, hit the “Page” tab, choose a page, and click the “Rotate Left” or “Rotate Right” button to modify your PDF pages.
Change mode in printer settings
Open the Control Panel and then the Devices and Printers option. In the menu that appears, select Printing Preferences and find the option for Orientation in the preferences window. Change the option to Landscape to set the printer to landscape mode as a default.Define or change the print styles in Outlook
- Click the File > Print > Print Options in Outlook 2010 and 2013.
- In the popping up Print dialog box, please click the Define Styles button.
- In the define Print Styles dialog box, please click to highlight a print style in the Print styles box, and click the Edit button.
- right-click on your selection; - left-click on 'Quick Print' to send your messages to the default printer. Or, you can press Ctrl+P, or click on Outlook menu File-> Options-> Print –> Print Options – and select your printer, style, pages, number of copies, etc.
Choose PDF files that need to be printed; Open print settings menu by clicking on PRINT button; Choose Print only Landscape Pages in the Orientation inlay and press Start!
Print emails in landscape/portrait (by default) in Outlook
- Shift to Mail view, open a mail folder, click to highlight the email you will print in the mail list, and click File > Print.
- And now please specify the proper printer from the Printer drop down list, and click the Print Options button.
- In the opening Print dialog box, please click the Page Setup button.
To change the orientation while you are working on the document
- Tap Layout on your tablet. If you are using an Android phone, tap the Edit icon. , tap Home, and then tap Layout.
- On the Layout tab, tap Orientation.
- Tap Portrait or Landscape.
Change the page orientation for a document
- On the View menu, click Print Layout.
- On the Layout tab, under Page Setup, click Orientation, and then click Portrait or Landscape.
