To add Google Chrome Search widget, long press on the home screen to select widgets. Now from Android Widget Screen, scroll to Google Chrome Widgets and press and hold the Search Bar. You can customize it like the way you want by long pressing the widget to adjust the width and position on the screen.

- Hard press your display until you'll see options for Widgets.
- Search for Google toolbar.
- Press on it and place it to home screen.
Go to your Settings > Apps > swipe to the “ALL” tab > select “Google Search” > press “Disable”. The only thing you need to do now is restart your device and the Search bar will be gone. However, doing so will disable one of the most useful Android features – Google Now.
Download and add a Chrome theme
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More. Settings.
- Under "Appearance," click Themes. You can also go to the gallery by visiting Chrome Web Store Themes.
- Click the thumbnails to preview different themes.
- When you find a theme you'd like to use, click Add to Chrome.
Here are some helpful keyboard shortcuts you can try:
- To return your zoom to 100%, hold down Ctrl/Cmd and press 0 (that's a zero).
- To increase your zoom incrementally, hold down Ctrl/Cmd and press + (the plus sign).
- To decrease your zoom incrementally, hold down Ctrl/Cmd and press - (the minus sign).
If you go into color settings and turn the setting to light mode instead of dark mode, than it will change back to white. Settings-> personalization -> colors -> scroll to the bottom where it says Choose your default app mode. Switch it to light.
Open up Settings and then tap on Display. Scroll down and tap on Display size. In this new screen, drag the slider to left to shrink the display size or the right to enlarge it.
Change text, image, and video sizes (zoom)
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More .
- Next to "Zoom," choose the zoom options you want: Make everything larger: Click Zoom in . Make everything smaller: Click Zoom out . Use full-screen mode: Click Full screen .
Using the zoom settings in the Chrome menu to make text larger. Select the Menu button in the top-right of the Chrome web browser. In the Zoom section, select the + (plus) button to increase the size of text and images. Select the - (minus) button to decrease the size of text and images.
Click the Menu button just to the right of the website address bar. You can access most of the commonly used menus from the drop-down list that appears. You'll see the options you'd normally find in the File and Edit menus here, such as opening new tabs, saving the page and copying and pasting.
By default, Chrome sets the zoom level to 100%. To manually adjust the settings, use the Ctrl key and “+” or “-” combos to increase or decrease the page magnification. If you are using a mouse, you can hold down the keyboard Ctrl key and use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
Getting the best display on your monitor. Open Screen Resolution by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, and then, under Appearance and Personalization, clicking Adjust screen resolution. Click the drop-down list next to Resolution. Check for the resolution marked (recommended).

Full Screen Mode
Many Web browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox also support using the F11 key to go full screen. To turn off this full screen function, simply press F11 again. On computers with compact keyboards, such as laptops, you may need to press fn-F11.Using any of the browsers listed below, you can change the size of the font using your keyboard and mouse. Hold down the Ctrl key and while continuing to hold move the mouse wheel up or down. Alternatively, you can hold the Ctrl key and press either + or - (plus or minus) to increase and decrease the font.
Larger text with Android
To increase text size: Open up your system settings, and head into the “Accessibility” section. Tap the “Font size” option, then move the slider at the bottom of the screen toward the right to make the text as large as you'd like.From the Chrome side:
- Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar (three dots on the upper right).
- Select Settings.
- Click Show advanced settings.
- In the "Web Content" section, use the "Font size" drop-down menu to make adjustments.
Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and then press the plus (+) key to make on-screen text larger or the minus/hyphen (-) key to make on-screen text smaller. You can continue to press either of the two keys to adjust the text size to your liking.
Changing Chrome's Font
Scroll down until you get to the “Web Content” section and click on “Customize fonts.” Alternatively, you can just enter chrome://settings/fonts into your browser and hit “Enter.” Now you can change all your font settings. Change the fonts as needed and press “Done” then restart your browser.To make your font size smaller or larger:

- Use the slider to choose your font size.
I find Verdana to be ideal for small font sizes (not so much for bigger ones). Or, if you can, you could use a pixel font. Based upon my document, I would say that Bodoni MT Condensed has given me the most characters per page at 12 pt font. It seems rather legible.

The two fonts shown in the previous screenshot are the actual defaults: "Times New Roman" for regular text, and "Courier New" for fixed-width text - typically code or plain-text. Part of the reason why Internet Explorer picks these is that they've been bundled with just about every version of Windows.
