Samsung Galaxy J7 V / Galaxy J7 - Soft Reset
- Press and hold the Power button (located on the right) until the Phone options screen appears then release. If the device is frozen or unresponsive, remove then re-insert the battery.
- Tap Restart.
- Tap Restart to confirm. Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
Samsung J7 Password Reset With Google Find My Device
- Go to Find My Device from a computer.
- Find your J7 on the screen.
- Enable the “Lock & Erase” feature.

The two terms factory and hard reset are associated with settings. Factory Reset does NOT delete all data
When you factory reset your Android phone, even though your phone system becomes factory new, but some of the old Personal information is not deleted. This information is actually “marked as deleted” and hidden so you can't see it at a glance.Charge the phone for at least 30 minutes. Press and then hold the Home and Volume DOWN keys, then press and hold the Power key. - Simultaneously press and hold the power button + volume up button + home key until the Samsung logo appears, then release only the power button.
