Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
- If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (located at the top) then drag to the bottom. The image depicted below is merely an example.
- Tap USB for charging.
- Select File transfers. Selected when a green dot is present.
- Tap JUST ONCE.
Steps to Retrieve Lost Photos and Videos from Motorola
- Connect Motorola to Computer. Launch Android Data Recovery on your PC or Mac after download and install.
- Allow USB Debugging. Make sure you have already allowed USB debugging on your Motorola phone.
- Choose File Type to Scan.
- Select and Recover Photos/Videos.
Transfer Pictures to PC
- Press the "Menu" key, scroll through the list of menu options and select "Settings."
- Select "Connection" and then choose the "USB Connection" option.
- Plug the mini end of the USB cable to your RAZR and connect the opposite end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
First, connect your phone to a PC with a USB cable that can transfer files.
- Turn your phone on and unlock it. Your PC can't find the device if the device is locked.
- On your PC, select the Start button and then select Photos to open the Photos app.
- Select Import > From a USB device, then follow the instructions.
Step 1 Taking off the Back Cover
- Remove the SIM card.
- Remove the microSD card.
- Insert the plastic opening tool between the back cover and the front piece of the case, freeing the plastic clips between the phone.
- Do this along the back right side of the phone cover until you reach the top.
Insert or remove SIM card - Droid Maxx. The nano SIM card is pre-installed in the device. Pull out the volume keys/SIM tray, located on the right edge of the device, with your fingernail.
Remove the Volume buttons/SIM tray (located on the right-edge of the device). With the display facing up, utilize your fingernail to pull out the tray. Insert the SIM card into the tray. Clip the SIM card into the tray from the side with word UP.
The DROID MAXX 2 BY MOTOROLA device supports microSD memory cards can be purchased from any Verizon store or online. Using the side of the card tray labeled "SD", insert the memory card with the gold contacts facing down.
It is the first Droid to be a high end smartphone exclusively developed by Motorola for Verizon Wireless. It is part of the Verizon Droid line, and was announced on 23 July 2013 along with the Droid Ultra and Droid Mini at a joint Motorola and Verizon Wireless press conference.
Internal memory, though, is the Droid Ultra's weakness. As with the Moto X and Galaxy S4, the Ultra comes with just 16GB of storage space. There's no SD card slot for upping your storage options, either, which is huge bummer.
From the top edge of the device (display facing up), remove the card tray. Utilize the insertion/removal tool to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot (figure 1) then remove the tray (figure 2). Using the side of the card tray labeled "SD", insert the memory card with the gold contacts facing down.
This phone in particular has the SD card slot hidden inside of the sim card tray or the volume buttons on the right hand side of the device. Once you open it, pull the tray all the way out and you will see the slot for the External SD.
Through the Droid
- Go to your Droid's home screen. Tap the "Apps" icon to open up a list of your phone's installed apps.
- Scroll through the list and select "My Files." The icon looks like a manila folder. Tap the "SD Card" option. The resulting list contains all the data on your MicroSD card.
If you're having photo importing problems on your PC, the issue might be your camera settings. If you're trying to import pictures from your camera, be sure to check your camera settings. To fix the problem, open your camera settings and make sure to choose MTP or PTP mode before trying to import your photos.
The "USB connected" screen with the large green Android icon will appear. Tap on "Connect USB storage". The green Android icon will turn orange, indicating that the phone is now in USB Mass Storage mode and should now appear as USB disk drives in "Devices with Removable Storage" and be assigned drive letters.
Plug your Android phone in to your Windows 10 machine using the regular microUSB cable. If the Phone Companion app doesn't launch, go into the Start Menu and select it. You may also need to make sure your Android phone is in MTP transfer mode.
Use USB cable

- Attach the USB cable to the phone and to a free USB port on your PC.
- On your PC, select Open folder to view files.
- Open the DCIM folder.
- Open the Camera folder.
- Select the photos and videos you wish to transfer to your PC.
- Drag the files in to the desired location on your PC.
Procedure
- Ensure phone is unlocked.
- Connect the phone to the PC using a USB cable.
- Drag the notification bar down.
- Tap USB charging this device, or Use USB for.
- Tap Transfer files or File Transfer.
- Click your phone's model on the PC desktop.
- Click Open device to view files.
- In the window that appears, click Internal storage.
