Earning Status
- For Bronze, either fly BA twice and earn 300 Tier Points, or take 25 BA flights.
- To get Silver, either fly BA four times and earn 600 Tier Points or take 50 BA flights.
- To reach Gold, fly BA four times and earn 1,500 Tier Points.
British Airways Executive Club Silver or Gold Card members or Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald status members who can also bring a guest into the lounge.
The general rule of thumb when it comes to the business class dress code for most is smart casual, so you can still get away with your comfy flying pants however thongs (flip-flops), beachwear or clothing with offensive images or slogans are not permitted.
As a Member, you can share your Avios for free with other Members who are on your Family and Friends list, so they can enjoy a reward flight sooner. You can also create a Household Account for free so that you can pool your Avios with up to six people who live with you, including children.
Because according to BA website, only BA customers can use lounge unless you have status. As you were not travelling on BA, and if you don't have exec club gold or silver, or emerald or sapphire oneworld status then you wouldn't have access to the lounge.
Wherever and whenever you fly in Club Europe you can expect the same impeccable standard, access to lounges*, top quality food and drinks, and premium service by our attentive crew, but some of the features and cabin elements may vary according to the time and duration of your flight and the type of aircraft in use.
Unfortunately you can't use Avios to redeem for BA lounges (the Concorde room would have been nice!) However, you can book independent lounges such as the Aspire lounge at Heathrow T5 starting from 3250 Avios.
Most lounge memberships permit you to bring in your spouse/domestic partner and your children OR two guests. While lounge memberships typically cost ~$350 - $500, they can pay for themselves quite quickly compared to day passes or spending several thousands of dollars on business/first class tickets.
You may bring one guest for free. Domestic business class passengers on some carriers (all oneworld members except American Airlines, and certain Star Alliance members - United Airlines and US Airways are excluded) have access to business class lounges. No guest is allowed.

This is a revised review of the new British Airways Club lounge at Gatwick South Terminal for BA and oneworld passengers which opened in February 2017.
When flying in Premium Economy you don't get access to any British Airways lounges unless you are a high tier BA Executive Club member. If you want lounge access at London Gatwick or lounge access at London Heathrow, you can buy or use a Priority Pass to access alternative lounges.

- Take a total of 50 British Airways flights.
Whilst it's not possible to purchase a British Airways lounge access day pass you may still be eligible to gain entry to a BA airport lounge – full details can be found on the British Airways website here.
Yes, food is free in all airport lounges. Be it beverages or snacks, once you have access to the lounge they are available to you. Of course, there are exclusive meals also available that you need to pay for upfront.
On Saturday 4 July 2020, BA has reopened the Galleries Club South and Galleries First lounges on the South concourse of London Heathrow Terminal 5. The Concorde Room, Galleries Club North and Galleries Terminal 5B lounges and Elemis Travel spas remain closed.
You can't pay to access British Airways lounges. You'll have to rely on your fare class or elite status to get access. Elite status in either the airline's Executive Club or the Oneworld alliance will work.
