To open the Find pane from the Edit View, press Ctrl+F, or click Home > Find. Find text by typing it in the Search the document for… box. Word Web App starts searching as soon as you start typing.
Similar to Home, the End key moves the insertion point to the end of the current line and Ctrl+End moves to the space after the last character on the last page.
If you want to skip numbering the first page in Word online, click the "Insert" tab on the ribbon menu and then click "Header & Footer." Click "Options," then click "Different First Page." Click the "Options" button again and click "Remove Page Numbers."
Non-printing characters or formatting marks are characters for content designing in word processors, which aren't displayed at printing. It is also possible to customize their display on the monitor. The most common non-printable characters in word processors are pilcrow, space, non-breaking space, tab character etc.
If that fails, try this: Click the "View" tab from the Ribbon and select (check) the Navigation Pane in the "Show" section. Now, click on Pages, and select the blank page thumbnail in the left panel. Press your Delete key until it is removed.
Move Pages in Word With the Navigation Pane
- Click the View tab and check the box for Navigation Pane.
- When the tool opens on the left side of your document, click Headings in the pane.
- Select the heading for the page you want to move and drag it to its new location in the Headings list.
Delete a Page
- Go to the page you want to remove.
- On the View menu, click Publishing Layout.

Page breaks are used to end a page without filling it with text. To add a page break, click Insert, and Page Break, then OK. A page break can also be created by holding down the Control key, then pressing Enter.
New chapter
- Click where you want to insert the new chapter heading and insert a page break (see Section and Page Breaks).
- In the Styles Pane, click Heading 1 style. The word “Chapter” and the chapter number will appear.
- Click after the chapter number and enter the text for the chapter heading.
Remove a manual page break
- Go to Home and select Show/Hide . This displays page breaks while you're working on your document.
- Double-click the page break to select it and then press Delete.
It simply separates content between pages. After the page break, the following text will always start at the beginning of the page. • Section Break. It splits your document into sections and allows you to have multiple different headers/footers in your document. Each section can have its own header/footer formatting.
- Click the File tab.
- Click Info to view the document properties.
- To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information.

The page breaks partition only the body text of the document, whereas the section breaks partition both the body text of the document, as well as partition page margins, headers and footers, page numbers, and the like.
