How to Connect a Bluetooth Speaker to an Android Phone
- Open the Settings app.
- Navigate to Connected devices, and turn on the Bluetooth toggle switch, if it's not enabled.
- Select Bluetooth to view the options.
- Select Pair new device to place the Bluetooth device in pairing mode.
The Google Nest Mini can be used as a Bluetooth speaker without a Wi-Fi connection as long as the devices were previously paired while a Wi-Fi connection existed. Once paired, the devices can automatically connect, and you can broadcast audio to your Google Nest Mini.
Google Home and Bluetooth pairing
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap the Google Home you want to pair on the main overview screen.
- Tap the cog icon at the top right.
- Scroll down and select Paired Bluetooth devices.
- Tap 'Enable Pairing Mode' at the bottom right of the screen.
' Tap google device you want to pair and select 'paired Bluetooth devices. ' Then select 'enable pairing mode. ' When the speaker has enabled pairing mode, select Bluetooth settings on your mobile phone, look for 'Google home speaker' from the discoverable Bluetooth names available.
First, try turning off your phone's Bluetooth and reconnecting. To do so, go into your Wi-Fi settings on your phone, find the network listed as the name of your device and connect to it. Then, go back into the app and complete the set up for the Hub again.

- Plug in your speaker or display. If the device has been used before, factory reset your speaker or display before you continue.
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app .
- Tap the Add icon Set up device.
- You'll be able to opt out of some settings, like Voice Match or personal results.

- Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Look through the list of available Wi-Fi networks for either "GoogleHomeXXXX" (where XXXX is a string of numbers) or the name of the Google Home device you gave it when you set it up (i.e. "Kitchen").
- Tap your Google Home device to connect.

Open the Google Home app for iOS or Android and select the correct Google account. When the app finds your device, tap Next. Tap Yes to verify the soundcheck, select a device location, and enter a name. Tap your Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and tap Connect.
Check your cables and connectionsSometimes loose, disconnected or damaged cables can cause connection issues. Make sure the provided Ethernet cable is connected securely (the tab should click in) to your Google Nest Wifi router or primary Google Wifi point's WAN port .
Connect Bluetooth speakers to Google Home
- Open the Google Home app.
- Select your Google Home device from the main screen.
- Tap the Settings cog to access device settings.
- Scroll down to Paired Bluetooth Devices.
- Tap Enable Pairing mode.
- Select the speaker you want to connect.
Google has enabled Bluetooth audio streaming for Google Home, according to Android Police. To activate Bluetooth audio streaming head to settings in the Home app, tap Paired Bluetooth devices and pair your device to the Home speaker.
