Check your Virgin Media contract status
- Log in to your Virgin Media account.
- Select 'My Account'.
- Select 'Check your contract details'. You'll find your end date here.
All you need to do is call Virgin Media and select the option 'If you're thinking of leaving Virgin Media'. Call 150 from your Virgin Media telephone or call 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to cancel. For more information, do check out our Virgin Media customer service numbers page.
Cancelling Virgin Media broadband and TV at the same timeIf you have both Virgin Media broadband and TV in a bundle, it's double trouble. Cancelling your services means paying a 'disconnection' fee of 80-100% of what remains on your contract including both services.
All Virgin Mobile contracts are Freestyle Contracts, which means you have the option to pay off your phone as early as you want. You're no longer tied into a long contract - you just roll back to a SIM-only, monthly contract.
You can upgrade once you've got a month left on your contract – you can find out when that is by logging into Your Account.
How do I find out when my BT contract ends? If you're a BT customer, simply log into your BT account and scroll down to 'Accounts'. Next, click on 'Products' - if you have multiple accounts, products will be listed next to each. Then, select each product to find out the start date and end date of your contract.
For most Sky products, the minimum contract period is 12 or 18 months, unless otherwise stated. If you stop receiving or cancel a Sky service before your contract ends (minimum term), you might have to pay an early termination charge.
If your bill's going up, you CAN leave penalty-freeIt says if you are affected by the price increase, you can leave your contract without paying any early termination charges. You'll need to contact Virgin Media within 30 days of receiving your notification of the price increase.

You can switch your broadband contract whenever you like. However, if your existing contract has a minimum term and you're still within that period, you'll likely have to pay an early exit charge. This could be quite high, so be sure to check and factor this into your switching costs.

You can't freeze your account, you either keep paying our pay the early exit fees as per the T&C's of the contract you agreed to. Cancelling your direct debit will just result in a debt building up and damage to your credit file.
