Does UM require a mid-year report from first-year applicants? Yes, all applicants are required to have their high school guidance counselor submit the mid-year report and updated senior year transcript to the Office of Undergraduate Admission as soon as it is available.
We release admission decisions as they become available, up to the notification deadline for each application period (December 15th for Early Decision applicants, January 15th for Early Action applicants, and April 1st for Regular Decision applicants).

Undergrads have access to everything graduate students do in terms of research opportunities.At Tulane University in New Orleans, the rumor is true. On Tulane's application, there is even an extra section called “Tulane Roots,” where legacies fill out information regarding the alumni in their family. But at the University of Chicago, legacy status doesn't give an applicant a better chance for acceptance.
Early Action (EA) is designed for students who wish to complete the admission process early in their senior year. If a student is not admitted in the EA pool, Tulane may defer the admission decision, ask for further supporting materials, and reconsider the application during Regular Decision.
