Find a filter through the creator.
- Search the creator of the filter you want to use to get to their IG profile.
- Tap the smiley face icon above their grid to see all their currently available Story filters.
- Tap on the filter you want to try, and then tap the "Try it" button in the lower left hand corner.
To do this, go to Profile -> Settings -> Clear Search History. Once you've done this, your Instagram account should have a clean slate and be reset. To ensure all the data is deleted, go to your phone's Settings -> Applications -> Instagram -> Clear Cache and Data.

There is no way to see who is viewing your profile unless they try to connect with you. Instagram does not track who is viewing what content, nor do they track how often someone visits a profile or watches an Instagram story. Similar to Facebook, you won't be able to see WHO views your profile and posted content.
Follow the steps below to reset your Instagram explore page:
From the drop-down menu select “Settings”; Select “Security” and then “Search history”; Click on “Clear search history”. Use of hashtags – You can get a friend suggestion based on the hashtags on your profile or your posts. Mutual friends – Instagram often suggests friends of a friend to you. If you have one or more mutual connections with a person, they will likely appear higher on your list of suggestions.
You can not determine whether they look at your profile or not but the main reason they are being suggested to you is something else not that they are stalking you. Instagram collects data from likes, comments, prior searches, and post locations to suggest accounts during searches, even after search history is cleared.
To stop an account from showing up in your search recommendations—Instagram might know what you like but you don't need anyone else to know it! —click the search bar, and then click and hold the account—you'll get a pop-up option to hide.
How to delete Instagram search history
- Open Instagram.
- Tap on your Profile.
- Tap the three lines icon at the top of the page.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Privacy and security.
- Tap Clear search history.
- Tap Clear search history again.
If you want to hide a profile from your searches, just follow these steps:
- Tap the search option at the top of your app.
- Tap “Top” or “People”
- Find the profile you want to hide and hold your finger on it.
- Tap the hide option.
Does Instagram search history clear itself? No, you have to manually clear your Instagram search history, it never does it automatically.
It basically means that whoever's handle shows up at the top of your suggestions list is someone you've searched an unnatural amount of times and/or share many of the same photo likes.
Instagram was developed in San Francisco by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. Systrom was working in marketing and started doing engineering at night to help him learn how to code. Clearing data resets an app to its default state: it makes your app act like when you first downloaded and installed it. For example, say you make changes to the settings of your favorite fitness app. You change the length of exercises and sound settings. Clearing the cache will not affect these saved settings.
