This question depends on how attentive the host of the meeting is. If they wish, they could very easily make sure that everyone knows when someone leaves a meeting. However, by default, Zoom doesn't use an audible notification — play a chime — when someone leaves (or joins) a meeting.
Android | iOSSwipe left from the active speaker view to switch to Gallery View. Note: You can only switch to Gallery View if you have 3 or more participants in the meeting. You can view up to 4 participants' video at the same time. You can keep swiping left to view more participants' video.
Instructions
- Using a Zoom Room, start or join a meeting that you're a host for.
- Tap the Manage Participants icon on the Zoom Rooms Controller. The participants list will display.
- Tap Claim Host at the bottom of the participants list.
- Enter your 6-digit host key, then tap OK.
If the host gets disconnected, another user on your Zoom account who is in the meeting will get assigned the host. You can also specify a co host to a trusted participant in the case where there is no other user present on your account. It seems this is what happens when you allow participants to join before host.
When you join a Zoom meeting, the host and the members do not see your computer screen. They can only see your video and hear your audio, that too only if you have turned on the Camera and Microphone.
When you join a Zoom meeting, you will see a screen “Join a Meeting.” and a box with your name in it. You can change your name in the box before joining a meeting so that you maintain anonymity.
If you're worried about getting busted by your prof, you can relax: Zoom software does not allow your teacher (or anyone else) to see your own computer screen unless you actively engage the “Share My Screen” feature.
Sign into the Zoom web portal as an administrator with the privilege to edit Account settings, and click Account Settings. Navigate to the Co-host option on the Meeting tab and verify that the setting is enabled. If the setting is disabled, click the Status toggle to enable it.
When scheduling a meeting, the host can designate another Licensed user on the same account to be the alternative host. The alternative host can start the meeting on the host's behalf. This user will receive an email notifying them that they've been added as an alternative host, with a link to start the meeting.
Step 1. Open the Zoom application on your mobile devices, start a meeting, and then press the "More" option to select the "Record" button. Step 2. Then it will start the recording, and you will see the "Recording" icon on the screen.
