Microsoft Teams is a messaging app for teams where all conversations, meetings, files, and notes can be accessed by everyone, all in one place. It's a place for collaboration and work to happen in the open.
To delete a chat message, press and hold the message and select the delete option.
Tabs: Switch between different Teams pages with these tabs. Conversations and Files are automatically included; the + sign tab allows you to add shortcuts to content in Teams. Channel Conversations: This section displays all the conversations in the selected channel.
Sign in to Microsoft 365 with your work or school account at office.com. Select the circle in the upper right hand corner of the page that shows your initials or an icon of a person. In the My accounts pane, select the circle that shows your initials or an icon of a person. Change your photo in the pop-up that appears.
if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies.
@driggs63 If you are using the payed version of Teams and can't change your profile image it is probably your admin that configured a policy to prevent this.
Teams are made up of channels, which are the conversations you have with your teammates. Each channel is dedicated to a specific topic, department, or project.
Click your profile picture at the top of the app, then select Settings > General. In the Theme section, click High contrast. You can also select the Dark or Default theme.
Re: Set your own Nickname on TeamsNo, that is not possible. It is possible to remove the first or last name in when tagging a person. There is a uservoice suggesting that you should be able to use nicknames. You could use tags in a teams as a workaround, but that is only per team.
Change your background before a meeting starts. It's just below the video image. You can also replace your background with one of the images provided, or with one of your own choosing. To use an image of your own, select Add new and then select one to upload from your computer.
Re: Not able to see Background Effects in Microsoft TeamsTo be able to set background effects you need to be using the desktop client on a PC or Mac. If you couldn't use the background blur feature on your computer previously, this feature won't be able to you now, as it requires a modern CPU that supports AVX2.
If you want to alter your background after having already joined a meeting, click on your meeting controls, and tap More Actions > Show background effects. Once again, you'll have the option to blur your background or choose an image to replace your office entirely.
To enable dark mode, log onto Microsoft Teams and select your profile picture in the top right of the window. From the context menu click Settings. From the General tab select Dark under Themes. Teams will now switch to a dark theme.
To add your background effect, simply click the three dots on your meeting screen and select the 'show background effects'. Once you've done this, you'll be presented with a menu on the right side of your screen, showing all of the available background settings to choose from.
Best practice: Create teams with a larger set of members and more channels. Minimize the number of teams that require a person's participation. Channels within a team should be thought of as topics or workstreams to aid the team in organizing their work to deliver on their joint objectives.
The desktop app automatically updates (so you don't have to). If you want, you can still check for available updates by clicking your profile picture at the top of the app and then selecting Check for updates. The web app is always up to date.
Once in the directory, you'll see a few of the following folders:
- From 'Application Cache', go to Cache and delete any of the files in the Cache location.
- From 'Blob_storage', delete any files that are located in here if any.
- Within 'Cache', delete all files “%appdata%MicrosoftteamsCache”
So, to enable picture adding to a Teams profile, you need to have an Exchange Online license enabled for this profile. Once it's done, wait for un while or restart Teams and you will see the “Change picture” option appear.
Open Microsoft Team Desktop App. Locate the Team and click on '' and 'Manage team' Next, click Settings > Team picture > Change picture. Upload picture > "Select the PNG file" > Open > Save.
