Most applications will open on August 1 for students applying for fall 2022 enrollment. College deadlines most often fall between November and February. Federal Student Aid recommends that students start researching for scholarships the summer after your junior year of high school. If you have time and energy, you should even start before that. CUNY looks to remove SAT, ACT requirements through 2023, report says. According to FairTest: the National Center for Fair and Open Testing, at least 1,400 four-year colleges and universities in the United States won't require the SAT or ACT college entrance exams for fall 2022.

Is it too late to apply to college? The answer is No. Several hundred colleges continue to accept applications and admit students until the start of the fall semester. This is the time to look at colleges known as “Late Application” or “Late Deadline” schools.

Undocumented students may incorrectly assume that they cannot legally attend college in the United States. However, there is no federal or state law that prohibits the admission of undocumented immigrants to U.S. colleges, public or private. Yet institutional policies on admitting undocumented students vary.
You must have a 3.0 GPA (3.4 for non-residents) or higher and no grades lower than a C in required high school courses. You can also substitute SAT subject tests for courses. If you don't meet the requirements, it is possible to gain admission with a high enough score on the ACT/SAT plus on two SAT subject tests.
