Add Required Attendees: Select and highlight the email addresses you will add in the Address Book, and click the Required -> button; Add Optional Attendees: Select and highlight the email address in the Address Book, and click the Optional -> button at the bottom.
BCC Calendar Invites
To use the BCC function in Outlook when sending a meeting request, click on the “To” box next to the text area after creating the request and enter your recipients into the Resources field. This will effectively BCC those guests.Normally, you can Bcc (blind carbon copy) an email to recipients easily with typing recipients' email addresses into the Bcc filed in Outlook. In fact we can send meeting invitations with Bcc by adding Resource attendees in Outlook.

Outlook: Check Who Accepted Meeting Invite
- Select the “Calendar” icon in the “Navigation Pane“.

Using Outlook Scheduling Assistant to Create Meeting Invitations
- In Outlook, click Calendar in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- From the Home tab, at the top left of the screen, click New Meeting and select New Meeting from the drop-down list.
- A new window appears.
- Next, you will want to add attendees.
If you didn't organise the meeting, you may be able to open the calendar of the organiser and still be able to see who responded and how. If you open the occurrence you'll see the Scheduling Assistant button in the Meeting Occurrence tab. It will show all the invitees and what you are allowed to see of their calendars.
“Required” means the selected attendee is required for the meeting. “Optional” means that the selected attendee has the option to attend but isn't required. “Resources” is used to designate a specific resource needed for the meeting.
Invite someone to a meeting or event in one of three ways after you open Outlook:
- Click “New Items” in the upper left-hand corner. Then, below it, click “Meeting.”
- Click the “Calendar” icon (the second icon on the left-bottom corner of the screen).
- From your email inbox, click “Reply with Meeting.”
Add Bcc or Cc Recipients in Outlook.com Messages
- Select New message.
- In the new message, select Bcc to add the Bcc field to the message header. Or, select Cc to add the Cc field.
- Enter recipients' email addresses in the appropriate carbon copy fields.
- The email will be copied or blind copied to those you indicated.
If you're the meeting organizer, the easiest way to invite someone else to a meeting is to open the meeting from your calendar and add them as an attendee. After you've added the additional attendees, click Send Update. You can choose whether to send the update only to added or changed attendees or to all attendees.
Outlook allows you to mark appointments as private, but the term is a bit misleading because the interface will still display the appointment by subject in Calendar view. However, people standing nearby can see those items on your calendar, if they're close enough.
Add Bcc recipients to a meeting request. There is currently no way to add a person as a true Bcc recipient to a meeting request. If you'd like to prevent a person from showing up on the list of attendees to a meeting, you can add them as a Resource, but their name will show in the Location field for the meeting.
