Set up FaceTime on iPhone
- Go to Settings > FaceTime, then turn on FaceTime.
- If you want to be able to take Live Photos during FaceTime calls, turn on FaceTime Live Photos.
- Enter your phone number, Apple ID, or email address to use with FaceTime.
No, there is no Facetime on Windows, and there's not likely to be anytime soon. Facetime is a proprietary standard, and just isn't available outside the Apple ecosystem. So, if you were hoping to use Facetime to call your mom's iPhone from your Windows PC, you're out of luck.

Sign in to FaceTime

While Airplane mode is turned on, reboot/soft reset your iOS device to clear out junk files and any corrupted temporary network data. Wait for the device to finish booting up. Once the reboot is finished, go back to Settings-> Airplane Mode menu. Then toggle the Airplane Mode switch to turn the feature OFF again.

A 3-way Group FaceTime call — or one with five, 10, or more people — shows the participants in small boxes on the screen. Starting a FaceTime call with multiple people is really easy, and there are multiple ways to do it: from the Messages app, FaceTime app, and FaceTime program on a Mac.
Apple has temporarily disabled its Group FaceTime feature in iOS and macOS to fix a major security flaw. Apple has now disabled the Group FaceTime feature on the server side, and reports suggest this has fixed the security flaw for most people.
Normally, you might video chat with individual families or people separately, but, now you can Group FaceTime with (almost) everyone at once. Keep in mind that this only works for devices that support FaceTime, so Android users won't be able to join.
While in a FaceTime call, you can easily add another person to the chat.
- In an active call, tap on the icon that features three dots.
- Tap on "Add Person."
- Choose a name from the list to send them a notification to join in.
Go to iPhone Settings -> FaceTime -> Tap the FaceTime Switch to turn off and turn on. Tape the Apple ID -> Sign Out -> then Sign in again with the same or different Apple ID. If you are using iPhone X and later, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause slightly in the middle of the screen.
According to Apple's official Group FaceTime support document, Group FaceTime with full video is limited to the iPhone 6s or later, iPad Pro or later, iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 4, and iOS 12.1 is, of course, required for the feature to work.
Add another person to a call
- During a FaceTime call, tap the screen to open the controls, swipe up from the top of the controls, then tap Add Person.
- Type the name, Apple ID, or phone number of the person you want to add in the entry field at the top. Or tap. to add someone from Contacts.
- Tap Add Person to FaceTime.
Zoom is the metaphorical equivalent of an Alaskan Bush STOL cargo plane. FaceTime would be a 2 seater Piper Cub. Both fly, both carry passengers, both have a spot for baggage, both are great vehicles. Using one to do the job of the other is either wasting resources, or overtaxing it's capabilities.
