To begin your meeting, click the vertical ellipsis (additional options button) to the right of the meeting name. Select Launch. This will open up the Meeting Lobby page. Click Join to begin the meeting.
Restart your device, open your browser to ensure you have an internet connection, and re-enter Bongo (formerly YouSeeU). This fresh start helps clear out conflicts from other programs. Open the Task Manager (Windows) or Activity Monitor (Mac) to check overall CPU usage, memory usage, and other usage.

Bongo is a tool in MindTap that lets you view and evaluate live or recorded student presentations.
If you have not already downloaded the app, choose the download link on the Meeting welcome page. Alternatively, the app can be downloaded directly from the Apple App Store by searching for Bongo Virtual Classroom. If you already have the application, starting the meeting automatically starts the app.
After saving, your video will begin processing in the Work In Progress section; this can take up to 30 minutes depending on the length of the video.
Add a Video to Your Bongo Assignment
- Click Record Video.
- To start recording, click Record.
- To stop recording, click Stop.
- To review your video, click .
- To delete your video, click .
- To download your video, click .
- To save your video and attach it to your assignment, click .
Recording options Only your instructor has the ability to record the meeting. If your instructor records the meeting, you will have access to the recording for up to 14 days. Recorded meetings After the meeting is ended, you may access your recordings in Tools > Virtual Classroom > Recorded Meetings.
You can Add to Submission, Download, Edit, or Delete your recording. By selecting Edit, you can change the recording name.
The volume control is simply a line out level control on the Bongo and doesn't change your tone at all. If you need some upper headroom when you play, set your amp a little louder and turn the Bongo volume down.
Important
- Within your assignment, click the Add button then click the Video. icon.
- After checking Webcam and Desktop, click Record Video.
- You will then be prompted to share your screen.
- You will see both your presentation in PowerPoint and your webcam video in Bongo.
- Click the RECORD icon within the Bongo recorder.
Click the Share Desktop icon. You can share Your Entire Screen (recommended*) or Application Window. Select your preferred option and Share.
Bongo is a Virtual Classroom and Video Assignments tool that is integrated directly into DC Connect. You can schedule live classroom discussions, share your screen, poll students and even have break-out sessions for students to work together in your virtual classroom.
Participants can raise their hands or share status related to their understanding of the presentation by clicking their name in the participants list, and selecting the Set Status option. This status will be displayed in the Participants list, in the circle icon to the left of the user's name.
To download and save your recording before the 14 days expire, click on ​Module Tools > Bongo Classroom​. To the right of the recorded meeting, click the 3 dots under ​Actions​ and choose​ Download​ to save the meeting to your computer.
The Virtual Classroom meeting space allows instructors, trainers, and learners to engage each other with livestream video. Instructors can engage a large audience and connect up to 10 simultaneous webcams. Also, learners can create meetings in the Virtual Classroom space within Group Project and Individual Project.
Private Chats are NOT recorded, and are not visible to Instructors. To turn this setting off, so that all students are required to send Chat messages to all participants: 1.
Click on any participant name, then click Promote to moderator. In Virtual Classroom meetings, the meeting moderator can also make another participant the presenter. All presentation features will be available to the new presenter. To make yourself the presenter again, select your own name and click Take presenter.
Private ChatTo privately message another participant, click the Participant Icon in the upper left corner of Virtual Classroom. Click a participant's name, then click Start a private chat.
Remove a Personal Chat or Remove MembersPersonal Chats can go across all courses in the D2L site and they need to be deleted by the Individual who created the chat. Click the drop down arrow to the right of the Personal Chat title. Click Delete. Confirm Delete when asked.
They can access it by clicking on the 'Chat' button on the lower right corner. This will open the chat window. To communicate, click on the message area and then enter text into the chatbox. Note: When a new chat message is sent to you or everyone, a preview of the message will appear.
