Try these quick tips: Restart your U-verse TV receiver (DVR) by holding down the POWER button for 10 seconds, then press it again to restart. (This takes 5-8 minutes and impacts any DVR recordings in progress.) Press the Recorded TV button on your remote if your recorded program is frozen or missing.
This will reset a bunch of the default settings on your DVR but attempt to keep your recordings. This erases all your recordings, all your settings, and puts your receiver or DVR in the state it was when you got it. We recommend this option before sending a defective or unwanted device back to DIRECTV.

The most likely causes are that you: Have not enabled Platform Access. Have not got your Network Settings configured correctly. You need the correct IPv4 gateway address for your router entered in Network Settings.
