Search for your PAN card details by name and date of birth
- On the e-Filing website, click on “Know Your PAN”.
- Enter your Date of Birth or Date of incorporation in DD/MM/YYYY format.
- Enter your surname first, then enter your middle name and first name.
- Enter the Captcha Code as shown on the screen.
- Click on submit.

There is no specific AO code for no income category. However, there are AO Codes where the salary is below a certain amount. In the form to your left, choose PAN as card type, and select your city (nearest location) and click "Get AO Codes". The results may have an AO code that suits you.

The steps involved to download e-PAN card with your PAN and Date of Birth are:
- Visit the download e-pan NSDL portal.
- Enter the details which are required on the form such as date of birth, PAN and Captcha code.
- Click on 'submit' and download the e-PAN for free.
The person who is not resident in India as per the Income Tax Act should select one of the AO code from the below mentioned list. If you are unaware about the AO Code applicable to you, you may select default AO Code(DLC-C-35-1) below as your AO Code.

The only way to get your PAN or Assessing Officer (AO) jurisdiction transferred to a new place is to write a letter to your present Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT) under whose charge your present Assessing Officer /Ward/Circle is located with a copy to your present jurisdictional Assessing Officer.
Go to NSDL site and apply for change the address on PAN Card by paying requisite fees. Thereafter you apply to the present jurisdictional assessing officer for transfer of your assessment records to the new A.O having jurisdiction over your case.

How to Locate the Income Tax Ward/ Circle/Range/ AO Code. Alternatively, a person can also locate his AO Code by logging on to his account on the income tax website i.e. the click Profile Settings – My Profile and all details would be displayed.
Step 1: Go to the official website of Income Tax Department and to the 'Know Your Jurisdictional AO' section on the site. Step 2: Enter your PAN and mobile number and submit. Step 3: You will then get a one-time password on your registered mobile number. Enter it on the webpage.
