Resetting your Dstv can be done in two ways: Via SMS and Via easy service. To start, be sure your decoder is switched on and your SmartCard inserted properly. After payment, message RESET followed by your SmartCard number to 30333. This option works on every phone network service in Nigeria.
How to check your DStv due date online
- Click on “Service” at the top of the website page to go to DStv self-service.
- Sign into the DStv easy service with your smart card number and phone number or name.
- Click on “Account” once you are signed in.
- You will see your DStv subscription due date and your account balance.
You can reset to factory defaults as follows :
- Press the DStv button on the remote.
- Scroll to Settings.
- Then to System Settings.
- Select Reset Decoder Setting.

You can create a Connect account by clicking "Register" in the top right of the DStv.co.za website and following the prompts in order to complete your registration. Do I need a new smartcard? No, the DStv HD Decoder is packaged with a new one.
Your DStv decoder will automatically switch to channel 100 when your subscription expires. Channel 100 will only show on your DStv decoder when your account is suspended. You can only watch channel 100 when you encounter an error code like the following on your DStv: E16, E30, and E32.
Connect any one of the four cables from the satellite dish directly to the LNB input on the back of the decoder. 1. If you have a HD TV, use the supplied HDMI cable and connect it to the HDMI port (marked 1) on the back of the decoder, then connect the other end to the HDMI port on the TV.

How To Fix Signal Strength On DStv?
- Check F-type connectors. Check for incorrectly connected F-type connectors on the LNB and at the back of the decoder.
- Correct the LNB alignment.
- Adjust satellite dish alignment.
- Replace a faulty LNB.
- Move your satellite dish.
- Cut down or prune trees that may obstruct the signal.
Use your compass to determine which direction is west. Rotate your satellite dish slowly from the west towards the east, while monitoring the broadcast signal level on the signal meter of the Dish Pointing menu. Rotate your satellite dish towards the east once you see the broadcast signal start to increase.
How do I do a reset to factory defaults on the DStv HD Decoder?
- Press the DStv button on the remote.
- Scroll to Settings.
- Then to System Settings.
- Select Reset Decoder Setting.
- Select Reset to Factory Default.
To access your public channels, press the “TV button” on your remote control. The “Bouquet Options” menu will appear. Select “Public PAS7/10” Pressing any of the arrow buttons on your remote, will open the screen with all the available Free to Air channels.

- On the Provisioning module, click Setup Pairing.
- Retrieve details of the customer.
- To do a pairing, click the Add link in Pairing Details table.
- Select the type of smart card from SmartCard Code drop down.
- Select the type of decoder from Decoder Code drop down.
