There is a small chest at the foot of the complex, before the stairs up. It is surrounded with bags and candles, etc. Simply open the chest, search your inventory under Misc for Klimmert's supplies, place it in the chest, and close the chest. You should get a quest update, and can go back to Klimmert.
According to real-time, the path to High Hrothgar is only about 2,000 steps. Going by game-time, it would be more like 45,000 steps. An alternative meaning could be that there are literally 7,000 stairs along the path. This can't be true either.
If you're pressed for time or don't want to make the long journey, you can fast-travel to Helgen (where the game's prologue occurred) and then make a quick walk east to reach Ivarstead. This can be good if you need to quickly get to Ivarstead, but you'll miss out on a lot of locations and opportunities to gain XP.

Your plan: First, determine how much weight you wish to lose—then, do a little math. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends slow weight loss for lasting results—usually 1/2 pound to one pound per week. Completing an extra 10,000 steps each day typically burns about 2000 to 3500 extra calories each week.
For health and physical fitness, it's certainly excessive and the time spent would be far better spent on more focussed training, like weight lifting for example. 30,000 steps is about 20–25km or 4–5 hours of walking. Number of steps to walk is just that, numbers.
Just 30 minutes every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. It can also reduce your risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers.
Instead, the agency recommends adults engage in 150 minutes of moderate activity a week, such as brisk walking. To meet the CDC's recommendation, you need to walk about 7,000 to 8,000 steps a day, Tudor-Locke said. The average U.S. adult walks about 5,900 steps daily, she said.
Walking 10,000 steps equates to about five miles a day, which is quite an increase for those who sit at a desk all day. It comes out to about 90 active minutes a day, which is three times the amount recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The average American walks 3,000 to 4,000 steps a day, or roughly 1.5 to 2 miles. It's a good idea to find out how many steps a day you walk now, as your own baseline. Then you can work up toward the goal of 10,000 steps by aiming to add 1,000 extra steps a day every two weeks.
With the help of a Fitbit fitness tracker she started counting steps, and today, at age 35, she's lost nearly 100 pounds. Here's what it took to reach that 10,000-step benchmark every day. Long Answer: After you completed "Alduin's Wall", Delphine tells you to go to the Greybeards to learn the Dragonrend shout. Then the Greybeards will give you a shout called "Clear Skies" (all three words). By using all three words, you are able to get rid of the winds that can kill your character.
2 Answers. There should be stairs near a bridge in Ivarstead (you know you're near it when you can get a quest from an npc to deliver food to the Greybeards), just go up those, however sometimes they end for a bit, however the path is generally linear to High Hrothgar. Just look around for some more steps.
