Delivery times vary depending on the destination. Standard Post items are delivered on the next working day in Ireland. International items take three to seven working days. If you need your mail to get there faster, try our Same Day Delivery or International Courier services.
If a package has a tracking number it is often sent to the customer so they can track it online. Mail carriers usually deliver their route the same way every day. If you are not home during the day, ask a neighbor that is what time the mailman comes through your street.
Whilst almost all parcel delivery companies delivery on a Saturday not many delivery on a Sunday. However, in 2020 Sunday has become as normal a trading day as any, however it abides by shorter trading times and there is no official Royal Mail postal service on a Sunday.
Parcels will continue to be delivered at the following times: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. Saturday (urban areas), 8am-12pm. We are not offering evening delivery in urban areas at the moment.
A business day means any day except any Saturday, any Sunday, or any day which is a federal legal holiday or any day on which banking institutions are authorized or required by law or other governmental action to close.
Couriers Please Regular Business HoursWeekends: The customer service department is on Sat-Sun: closed. In the event a holiday falls on a weekday or weekend, Couriers Please is closed for business.
From this date the delivery service will instead guarantee deliveries by 9pm. Royal Mail said: “As a result, we will not consider a claim for delay or consequential loss as a result of delay for items posted using the Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm service that are delivered between 1pm and 9pm, from that date.
We aim to deliver to addresses in urban areas by 3pm every working day and addresses in rural areas by 4pm every working day (exceptions are made for remote areas with limited transport links such as the Highlands and Islands of Scotland).
