Turning on 'OK, Google'
- Open your App Drawer, and open the Google app, then tap the More (hamburger menu) in the corner, and go to Settings.
- Tap on Voice > Voice Match, and turn on Access with Voice Match.
- Follow the instructions to train your phone to respond to your voice.
To turn on Voice Access, follow these steps:
- Open your device's Settings app .
- Tap Accessibility, then tap Voice Access.
- At the top, tap the On/Off switch.
- Turn on Voice Access: If Voice Match is on, say “Ok Google.”
- Say a command, such as "Open Gmail."

To access Moto Voice settings, go to Apps > Moto > Voice > Settings. Check to enable or uncheck to disable. Tap to rerecord your launch phrase and/or edit your launch phrase reminder. Allows saying your PIN to unlock your phone when using voice commands.
How to enable Google Assistant on Moto G5 Plus..?
- Open play store and Update Google app.
- Now open settings and tap on Language & Input.
- Tap on Languages and add language.
- Add English (US) and remove other languages.
- Open Apps and find Google App and clear all data.
- Reboot your phone.
- Press and hold home button , You will be able to use Google Assistant now.
Moto Voice lets you control your phone hands-free by speaking commands. Moto Voice is a separate application from Google Voice Search but it works with Google Voice Search. Moto Voice's main purpose is to wait for the launch phrase, and then either execute the command or send the request to Google Voice Search.
You can't uninstall the Google Assistant, but you can disable it:
- On your Android phone or tablet, touch and hold the Home button or say "Ok Google."
- At the top right, tap Explore More Settings Assistant.
- Under "Assistant devices," select your phone or tablet.
- Turn off Google Assistant.

Follow these steps to disable Google Assistant entirely:
- Navigate again to Settings > Google > Account services > Search, Assistant, & Voice.
- Open Google Assistant.
- Select the Assistant tab.
- Scroll down and tap Phone.
- Toggle off the Google Assistant option.
How to turn off Google Assistant on Android
- Open your Google app and then tap the three dots in the bottom toolbar (labeled as "more").
- Select "Settings" to open up a new menu.
- Tap "Google Assistant" and head over to the Assistant section.
- Under "Assistant devices," select "Phone."
Turn Voice Input On / Off - Android™
- From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon > Settings then tap "Language & input" or "Language & keyboard".
- From the On-screen keyboard, tap Google Keyboard/Gboard.
- Tap Preferences.
- Tap the Voice input key switch to turn on or off .
It can be easily turned off by disabling it in the TV menu. Press the “Menu” button on the remote control and select: [Frequent settings] > [All settings] > [Android settings] > [Device preferences] > [Accessibility] > [Services] > [TalkBack] > [Enable] and set the slider to off.
Here are some things you should try in order to tackle issues with the Google app that, arguably, might lead to issues with the Assistant itself: Reboot your device. Clear cache and data from the Google app. Open Settings > Apps > All apps or App manager > Google > Storage and clear cache and data there.
That's it, you have succesfully turned OK Google off. In case you can't find the settings, there is another way: Tap Settings > Voice > "OK Google“ Detection. From here, you can choose when you want your phone to listen when you say "Ok Google."
Start a conversation

Clear all the data of google app then Go to play store > options> My apps & games. Then head to the settings > storage & USB > internal storage > Go to google app. Now you should be able to disable it.
