The NEBOSH Diploma level is considered to be comparable to an Honours Degree standard. It is a vocational qualification however and cannot be referred to as a degree.

The NCFE IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Safety and Health for Business provides an understanding of safety and health in a business context. Building on the IOSH Managing Safely course, this qualification is the ideal next step to becoming eligible for IOSH membership.
The popular IOSH Working and IOSH Managing Safely courses are perfect if your primary role is not health and safety; they also apply to any industry. Often companies put their staff on these courses to help improve the health and safety culture of their workplace, particularly managers and the Managing Safely course.
According to the British Safety Council, the price of IOSH Managing Safely course ranges from £495 to £595 + VAT. Your certificate fees might not be included in the price.

NEBOSH International General Certificate
The cost for your first year of membership is £191. This includes a one-off administration fee. Once you've joined we'll review your qualifications and experience. If appropriate we'll recommend that you're transferred to either Associate, Technical or Graduate membership.
IOSH, who are the biggest health and safety membership organisation in the world have announced that holders of the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety are now entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
The IOSH Managing Safely certificate does not have an expiry date, however IOSH do recommend that you take a refresher course every three years to keep your knowledge up to date.
Holders of the following NEBOSH qualifications are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). These qualifications also meet the academic requirements for Technical Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH.

What is IPD? IPD is the one-off assessment process that Graduate Members need to go through in order to become a Chartered Member. By passing the assessment, you demonstrate your competence, knowledge, skills and experience. Its internationally recognised that IOSH Chartered Members are at the top of their profession.
