Gold 4 and 5 and Silver 2 and 1 are pretty much the same, but there's a noticeable difference between low silver and low gold. Gold means you're better than like 70% of the people who play ranked, so on that front it's good, but depending on what exactly qualifies as "good" Gold isn't that great.
Amongst North American
players, the silver skill level was the most common tier, achieved by 32.77
percent of
players.

The people in Gold are all the ones who worked hard enough to get there all the way from Bronze. Platinum is the Bronze tier of high ELO, except more toxic.
Bronze - new players. Silver - newish players (almost 50% of players are stuck here) Gold - above 50%, a good place to stay for casual play. Platinum - top 8% (pretty good - congrats)
Platinum - 9.00%
Platinum division is a respectable division in the League of Legends ranks and if you're currently in it then you should be proud - especially when you consider that you're better than 90%+ of the people out there!Master and Challenger are single division. There are 200 players in Challenger, while there can be an infinite number of players in Master (currently 600+ on EUW). Once you reach Diamond 1 100lp, you have to win a bo5 to get into Master. You start there with 0LP, and earn points for each win, just like anywhere else.
Division skipping occurs when your MMR is much higher than the division you're currently placed in. Essentially, the game rates you as a much better player than those you're facing currently. In simple terms, the game wants you to climb!
Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Challenger are all subject to decay.
If you lose games you get demoted to silver 1. You don't decay in gold. You can demote out of a tier, but it requires at least 4 straight losses at 0 LP, probably more.
It comprises nine tiers which indicate the skill level of players. Players within each division are ranked using a system of points called League Points (
LP).

Platinum Tier: Can only queue with Gold players, Platinum players, or Diamond players who are at most two tiers above them (so Plat I can queue with Diamond IV and Diamond III, Plat II can queue with Plat I and Diamond IV, but Plat III can only queue up to Plat I).
Yes, you can. It's pretty hard to do compared to dropping between divisions, but if you go to 0 LP at plat 5, and lose a large number of games, you will be demoted back to gold.
The nine tiers in ranked League of Legends span from Iron to Challenger. Each has four divisions within them with four being the lowest and one the highest.
They are the best 0.00001 whatever percentage people of millions of players. Also, there are probably people that reach challenger after 5 seasons but most people actually peak after playing a year or two because the learning curve is really high in the beginning and most ppl get stuck after the first 1-2 years.
One game is removed per day, and players in this tier lose 100 LP per day whenever their bank is at 0. There's no upper limit on LP. Players that continue winning will keep earning LP and increase their lead in the standings. When a player enters Master Tier, they cannot be removed from Master Tier for three games.
