Simply put, after you block a number, that caller can no longer reach you. Phone calls do not ring through to your phone, and text messages are not received or stored. The recipient will receive calls and can answer and communicate with you.
once you have blocked someone you can not call or text them and you can not receive any messages or calls from them either. you will have to unblock them to contact them. You can still call or text a number even if you have added it to your blocked list. Yes, you have only blocked seeing that they called or texted you.
When you block a phone number or contact, they can still leave a voicemail, but you won't get a notification. Messages that are sent or received won't be delivered. Also, the contact won't get a notification that the call or message was blocked. You can also enable settings to block spam phone calls.
Re: Blocked number still texting
The block on the phone itself will still allow them to send the message, but doesn't notify you of the message received.Block generally means they cannot call you and you cannot call them. Therefore I would assume that reject automatically sends them to voicemail and you can still dial that number when you want.
Can you tell if someone blocked your texts for sure? No. If an Android user has blocked you, Lavelle says, “your text messages will go through as usual; they just won't be delivered to the Android user.” It's the same as an iPhone, but without the “delivered” notification (or lack thereof) to clue you in.
Text messages (SMS, MMS, iMessage) from blocked contacts (numbers or email addresses) do not appear anywhere on your device. Unblocking the contact does NOT show any messages sent to you when it was blocked. Calls go through as if they're ignored, text messages go through with no indication, and iMessages are the same.

Sure, there are plenty of ways to contact someone who's blocked your number:
- Send a message to them on Facebook.
- Borrow someone else's phone to text them.
- Send them an email.
- Write them a letter and mail it to them.
- Call them on the phone.
- Knock on their front door.
No, when you block someone in iMessage your message thread history is not deleted. Blocking someone will prevent you from receiving calls and messages from that number/person from that point forward. It does not affect any of the previous messages.
Most Android phones have a native number blocking feature. This feature is usually found in the Call or Message settings of the phone. Blocking a number ensures that you aren't disturbed by calls or texts from the blocked number. They are sent straight to voicemail or the text goes undelivered.
The history and content of the messages you recieved by blocked numbers. All the above information you find in call blocking. You are never notified with any of it. You can check it on your own.
Based on my knowledge (because it already had happened to me), if you don't have voicemail, you will still be able to see if a blocked number is contacting you because it will still appear in your recent calls. That's because whenever a blocked person calls you, your phone will still ring but only once.
On the application main screen, select Call and SMS filter. and select Blocked calls or Blocked SMS. If calls or SMS messages are blocked, the corresponding information is displayed on the status bar. To view details, tap More on the status bar.
Tip: Any calls you got from the number while it was blocked won't show in your call history.
