The next 15 percent of senior airmen, and 10 percent of staff and tech sergeants, can receive a "must promote" rating, which yields 220 points. The next three ratings -- "promote," "not ready now," and "do not promote" -- will get an airman 200, 150 and 50 points respectively, but there will be no limits on those.

In order to become an E-4 you'll have to have 28 months Time in Grade as an E-3 or 36 months Time in Service with 20 months Time in Grade. In this case you'll hit the 36 months Time in Service with 20 months Time in Grade first so you'll be promoted to E-4 at your 3 year (36 month) mark in the Air Force.
In this case, the “7†skill level is a “craftsman.†Upon promotion to E-5, Airmen begin training for the “7†(craftsman) skill level. This level ​of training includes correspondence courses, more on-the-job training, and for some jobs, a 7-level technical school.

E-5, sergeantThis point system determines when a corporal or specialist may receive command recommendation for promotion. Sergeants must also have 36 months in service and eight months in grade; have a degree, high school diploma or GED; and complete the Primary Leadership Development Course.
Master Sergeant (MSG)
Sergeants Major are non-commissioned officers (NCO's) in the United States Army. They are the highest-ranking enlisted soldiers in the military.Promotion RequirementsBefore promoting to major, you must have 10 years of service, and at least two years serving as a captain. Most captains, though, promote to major, after five to six years as a captain.
Senior airmen must have 36 months time in service and six months time in grade to be eligible to test for staff sergeant. Staff sergeants must have 23 months time in grade to test for technical sergeant, and technical sergeants require 24 months in grade to test for master.
In addition to items prohibited in the testing room, examinees are discouraged from bringing purses, back-packs, gym bags, brief cases, or any other container-type items into the room. Ideally, an examinee has the correct military uniform and his/her military ID card only.

Airman First Class (A1C) is the third enlisted rank in the US Air Force. Airman First Class is the rank just above Airman (E-2), and below Senior Airman. An Airman is typically promoted to Airman First Class after ten months as an Airman, but they can be promoted earlier if certain requirements are met.
NCOA is not a mandatory program for Airmen since Course 15 meets the requirement for the rank of master sergeant; however it is an optional opportunity to further develop leadership skills.
When a member of the U.S. military receives an appointment as a commissioned officer, her "date of rank" is usually the date of the appointment. The appointment date is also the effective date on which the officer receives the pay and allowances for increased rank.
Airmen can access their score notices on the virtual Military Personnel Flight via the AFPC secure applications page. Those selected will be promoted beginning Aug. 1, according to their promotion sequence number.
The correct way to address a Senior Master Sergeant named Mr. Smith is "Sergeant Smith", or written as SMSgt Smith. In formal situations, a Senior Master Sergeant should always be addressed by their full rank.
From now on, airmen may address E-8s as "senior" or "sergeant," according to the handbook. Though airmen were previously not allowed to address E-8s as "senior" per the 2009 AFI, some units have been slowly phasing the practice in an effort to honor higher-ranking enlisted leaders.
The official term of address for the CMSAF is "Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force" or "Chief."
