On iPad or iPhone, the Safari homepage defaults to your favorites, but you can set Google as your default search engine by navigating to Settings > Safari > Search Engine > Google.

If your default search engine keeps changing to Yahoo suddenly when you traditionally use Chrome, Safari, or Firefox to surf the web, your computer is likely afflicted with malware. Manually resetting your browser's settings should stop the Yahoo redirect virus from obstructing your system.

- Press Command + Option + Esc to open up the Force Quit window.
- Quit Safari.
- Hold Shift while selecting Safari from the dock and release when the window opens.

You are probably have to play the preferences dance, eg start removing preferences files associated with Safari until it starts working again on your Mac. Open a Finder window, hold down Option and go to the "Go" Menu and select Library. In that folder find Preferences and then look for things that start with "Com.
To
disable safe search on Android, the steps vary a bit, especially for Google.
From the Google app, you can find SafeSearch under the privacy settings.
- Open the Google app.
- Tap More.
- Tap Settings.
- Select General.
- Turn off the SafeSearch filter toggle to disable this setting.
- Do a Google search on your Android device.
To default to Google, here's how you do it:
- Click the Tools icon at the far right of the browser window.
- Select Internet options.
- In the General tab, find the Search section and click Settings.
- Select Google.
- Click Set as default and click Close.
