Electronic Reverse — Call it electronic reverse, RER or simply push-button reverse; it's all the same. It simplifies snowmobiling at virtually no weight gain. When Ski-Doo introduced the RER system in the late 1990s, virtually every snowmobile journalist took it upon himself to try and break it or, at least, fool it.
PERC is Polaris electronic reverse. It stops the engine and restarts it in reverse direction. Its usually a great reverse system and adds very little weight.
Neatest way is with wet/dry shop vac. Put rear of sled up on stand & put shop vac hose over coolant bottle filler neck. Open bleed screw on water manifold & pull out as much as possible. Then pull the hose to w/pump & finish pulling out any remaining coolant.
Ethylene glycol – is a solution with high boiling point. This makes it good as an antifreeze compound.
Raise the front of the sled. Slip a long flat blade screwdriver between the coolant exit hose and the thermostat housing, without the hose clamp in place clamping the hose. This gives the air some place to go. Fill the bottle with anti freeze till the bottle is 90% full or anti freeze runs out around the screwdriver.

Carl Eliason of Sayner developed the prototype of the modern snowmobile in the 1920s when he mounted a two-cylinder motorcycle engine on a long sled, steered it with skis under the front, and propelled it with single, endless track. Eliason made 40 snowmobiles, patented in 1927.
Snowmobile coolant flows within your sled's system to keep the engine at the appropriate temperature when riding. These sleds are known as liquid-cooled snowmobiles. Some sleds are fan-cooled, which means fans redirect cool air to the engine to keep it from overheating.
While four-stroke engines use valves controlled by a camshaft to allow gases in and out of the cylinder, a two-stroke design uses ports in the cylinder walls to allow gas exchange. It is the height and width of these ports that control how the engine breathes and at what speed the engine makes peak power.
The puller's threads are farther back and a larger diameter, it threads into the clutch, and the longer unthreaded portion in front of it pushes up against the crank. As you tighten the puller, it pushes harder against the crank until the clutch pops free.
Put it in neutralAgain some sleds have neutral, and some sleds do not have neutral. You will also find some people who tell you when it is way below zero to put your snowmobile in neutral and then rev it.
How To Measure Your Track! Width - Is the measurement across the track. Lug / Paddle Height - Is the distance the lugs/paddles extend above the track surface. Drive Pitch - Is the distance – center to center – of the driver lugs on the inside of the track.
