Detroit-based StockX was founded by 40-year-old sneakerhead Josh Luber with Dan Gilbert, the billionaire founder of US company Quicken Loans, backed by Mark Wahlberg and Eminem.
There are two ways to buy on StockX: placing a bid or Buying Now. If you have the highest bid, a seller who places an Ask that matches yours will automatically sell to you. If someone places a higher bid than you, no worries. If an ask matches their (now highest) bid, they'll get the item.
The website acts as a middleman between buyers and sellers, making otherwise potentially shady resale market transactions safe and secure. StockX authenticates all products before they're sent to you, so you never have to worry about scammers and fake items.
StockX is a 100% legitimate company.
But in general, GOAT seems to offer a better sneaker shopping experience than StockX. GOAT's order progress feature is more advanced and informative. They ship goods in fewer days than StockX and also charges less fees on shipping in the US.
The company offers a seal of authenticity for shoes approved for sale on its site. “Yeezys and Jordans are now the most faked shoes in the world, and over 10 percent of all sneakers sold online are fake,” said Michael Hall, director of data at GOAT.
Another Reddit user, u/Rajator1383, theorizes that StockX systematically sells fake sneakers because according to him: This is only a couple of examples of complaints that you can find easily on the internet by just typing in StockX Fake on Google (that's what we did).
How do I remove a payment method from StockX? On the left side of your profile page, under “Organizations”, click the icon for your organization. In the “Payment method” section, under your payment method, click Remove. Confirm the change by clicking Remove credit card or Remove PayPal account.
Now with StockX, you're guaranteed that the goods you purchase are 100% verified authentic, never fake. Every item bought and sold on StockX goes through a rigorous authentication process, putting the hammer down on scammers and bootleggers.
All you have to do is search for an email from StockX titled: An alert regarding your account and follow the instructions to unblock your account.

Facebook discovered and disclosed the security breach in late September, saying at the time that the issue affected 50 million accounts, with an additional 40 million deemed as “at-risk.” That number was reduced to 30 million, according to a blog post published by the company.
"We do not sell data to advertisers," Zuckerberg said during Tuesday's hearing. However, Facebook uses information people provide — such as their age, gender and interests — to target ads to a specific audience. Although Facebook doesn't directly sell your data to outside parties, it does make money from it.
Although employees may not sue just because an employer didn't keep I-9 forms confidential, an employee could sue for discrimination, if that was the end result of the breach. Many employers keep files on workplace investigations (of a harassment complaint or theft incident, for example) in separate confidential files.

Social Security numbers are among the most vital pieces of information that identity thieves want. The lawsuit is a class-action lawsuit and it will represent anybody who received communications from the bank that had their Social Security numbers printed on the outside, according to the article.
If the shoes are not authentic, or they are not in deadstock condition with the original box, you will be charged 15% of the sales price or $13.95 for shipping them back to you, whichever is more. No arrests, no accusations. If you keep sending them fakes they will suspend your account.
StockX defines "Deadstock" as an authentic, new, unworn pair of sneakers. They are complete with original box including the box lid and the box label indicating the shoe size, as would be acceptable for sale at a retail location.
As a Seller, your shipping cost is deducted from your total payout. Once a transaction is complete, you will receive a UPS shipping label in your “My Account” section of the site. You are responsible for packaging and dropping off with UPS.
Once the item you sold passes our verification process and your payout is released, it typically takes 1-5 business days (depending on your bank and region) for funds to arrive in your bank account.
We do allow the original box to be slightly damaged, such as minor dents and rips. We do not allow boxes with major rips or tears.
Once you're verified, you can sell new or used sneakers with or without a box.
For resellers, you can list sneakers for sale on StockX or you can sell them immediately for the highest bid. After a sale, you ship the shoes to StockX to be authenticated. Once the sneakers are verified, funds are released to you for the sale.
There is a 15 % penalty if you do not send the goods within 2 days, if they are not original, or if they are not used. As soon as a bid and an ask price (i.e., a supply and a demand match), the trade is confirmed and can no longer be cancelled.
